shit...any IT student knows how to get a password cracker working....even Weiss.
I sorta discount the dark web thing, that would be traceable. I think these guys were watched some Sopranos or NCIS and decided they were being "secure"....
I still wonder, given Stallions military background, if they weren't also scanning frequencies to capture in-game comms. Coaching Headsets probably aren't encrypted.

The scUM insider message board admins racing to delete any talk of these rumors (outside of the stuff calling Ohio State people whacky conspiracy theorists) speaks volumes I think, their "insiders" even know the walls are closing in and they only have so much time left to keep of their gaslighting "we are the real victims" act.
Big contrast from when stuff about tat gate was coming and and we kind of knew it was going to be bad before the NCAA even officially dropped the ball.

So, carrying over from the last thread.
I am a little bit concerned about the differing information being presented to PremierDrum and 22buck with regard to the Weiss investigation and practice footage. I, admittedly, read through everything quickly, but can either of you shed some light on why there is conflicting information about whether the FBI has provided confirmation to Ohio State that the theft/breach can officially be attributed to Michigan?
It sounds like PD is hearing that it is confirmed by the FBI and that they have provided the proof to OSU, while 22buck is saying that Ohio State knows it happened, but has not received confirmation from the FBI that Michigan football was 100% responsible for it. Is that an accurate representation of where things stand?
I have been wanting this to be true since we first heard about it months ago, but have stayed cautiously optimistic. To me, this would be absolutely irrefutable proof that they are cheaters and should be slammed with punishment...the worst of their offenses.

Most of what we're hearing gels. The only major difference we found when comparing notes yesterday was that my source (who I've known for 16ish years and now has connections with OSU Public Safety) shared with me that OSU had been made aware that the allegations were substantiated. 22 circled back with his folks at OSU who reported they had heard no such thing. I think it's possible - and likely - that both are true.
I don't know, and I'm not sure if my source knows, *who* at OSU received this notification. I don't know *who* at OSU 22' is checking in with, and I shouldn't. My assumption would be either legal or public safety got the heads up and are understandably keeping it close.
FWIW, it sounds like a couple other B1G leaders caught the same wind yesterday as well.

The timing is interesting. If the NOA includes LOIC and is issued by sometime next week, tCun’s 90-day response period would end before the end of November, which would seemingly allow the NCAA to enforce a postseason ban this season if they choose to and act immediately at the end of November.

I'd rather the postseason ban be held off starting until next year, that will hurt them more recruiting wise going forward and it's not like they are making the playoff (or the B1G title game even) this year anyways. I'd like to see them get smacked around by some SEC also ran in a meaningless bowl this year before getting banned the next couple of years.

If they put the ban in this year and it's only 2 years, basically it's only 1 year really. Which limits the damage it will do to recruiting (outside of any scholarship restrictions and what not they may also receive)
If they hold it off until next year you can bet this whole current recruiting class falls a part, the first time the class would even be able to think about the playoff would be their Junior season.

The thing that's often overlooked here is they may end up having to fire Moore after all of this, what a disaster that would be having to can the coaching you just hired. I don't think Moore was going to be some great coach but having to start over again before he even really got started and with likely NCAA sanctions coming down as well, they are going to really be hard pressed to find anyone capable to take over the program.

Any AD with a brain would have realized in late 2023 that both tCun coordinators were headed for NCAA ‘show cause’ penalties for standing next to Connor Stalions and sending in signals right after Stalions checked his cheat sheets.
They clearly deserve any damage that comes from having to dump Moore shortly after promoting him.

The football program holds the same attitude as the fan base, which is blind arrogance, the "oh they can't do anything to us, everyone does it!" type attitude. It's not shocking they just kept operating and continue to do so like absolutely nothing happened.
Lawyers had to step in and tell them "no" because that arrogance is so bad it extended to inviting the coach who just got suspended for the THIRD TIME, slapped with a 4 year show cause, and is still involved with multiple other active investigations to be their guest of honor to open the season.
