Should be continued to be noted that it does not matter how scUM got these passwords.

Even if they guessed with dumb luck because the password requirement wasn't high and was something stupid and easyish to guess.

I'm sure this will be a defense that the "Michigan Men" try to stand on if all of this is true when it breaks. "They shoulda had tougher password nobody actually hacked them"

If I guess your bank password and transfer a bunch of money from your account to mine, is it legal because you made your password guessable and no actual "hacking" was involved? No, i'm still committing a crime

Obtaining passwords is easy. There are darkweb websites where you can buy logins and corresponding passwords to popular websites by the hundreds of thousands using bitcoin.

And so many people use the same passwords for everything. And then when they need to create a new one they just change it from Brutus3! To Brutus4! or if a new website requires a stronger password they just use Brutus333!!!! instead.

Just buy a few of those lists off the darkweb. Ctrl+F "@osu.edu" and see if any football players names come up in the spreadsheet. Try to login to their team video server using the same credentials. If it doesn't work, try a slightly different one. Keep doing this until you get in. I bet it would be shockingly easy. Especially if they didnt require two factor authentication.

I was thinking it was something like that, the dark web password list type stuff. I doubt Weiss did any real serious “hacking” himself.

Could be possible they went as far as to hire a hacker from the same shady online spaces to do the work on specific accounts for them as well. Not to go full on conspiracy here but they’ve proven they were that desperate to win

When the practice footage access rumor first made the rounds, I think the rumor was that it was the Director of Recruiting's login that was supposedly compromised. My thinking then was that he was out and about amongst other schools' personnel and he got shoulder surfed.

Edit:

I thought thought Kirk pointed a finger at a certain person but I went back and I was wrong. He suspects someone disgruntled gave the login credentials to the cunts but he doesn't know. So I removed my comment accusing someone. But I still think this person is a prime suspect.

He did say that the Catapult system videos would include all signals. And recruiting information including pitches on it.
