I don’t know how they could’ve avoided the LOIC. From the multiple misconduct investigations , not cooperating with the investigations, actively hindering the investigation, and going out of your way to say the investigation is all BS.

These are the assholes saying “Bet” when their coach for suspended. A normal functioning program would’ve stopped the season with allegations like this. Nope not these guys…

They’ve made their bed…

It's textbook. Top to bottom.

They lost once to Notre Dame, so Yost went scorched earth trying to ruin their reputation, saying that ND played ineligible players and essentially politicked to get the conference to refuse them membership...but it turned out Michigan was playing ineligible players. Yost convinced teams to just not schedule Notre Dame, trying to ruin their program.

So Notre Dame was forced to stay independent and schedule games all over the country. Because of this (and Catholicism) they gained a massive nationwide fanbase, had a nationwide recruiting territory and became a force to be reckoned with.

Lots of Ohio State fans hate Notre Dame. But for me they're my #2 team simply because they made Yost look like an idiot and their seething hatred for Michigan.

I would love for the NCAA to turn up so much dirt on UM that they get booted from the conference and ND accepts an invite to take their place.
The origin story I never knew I needed.

Oh, there's much more dirt than that.

Fielding Yost was like Wile E Coyote. He kept trying to sabotage Notre Dame and it just backfired every time and made them stronger.

After ND finally beat them in 1909, Yost scheduled a game against ND the next year and then canceled 24 hours before kickoff.

He publicly petitioned against Notre Dame being named national champions in 1909.

Notre Dame tried to join the Big Ten multiple times from the 1900s-1926 and Yost made sure it didn't happen. And Yost petitioned and threatened other Big Ten programs to not schedule Notre Dame. So instead they would go anywhere and play other large programs like Penn State, Army, USC, Texas etc. and gained a reputation that they would travel absolutely anywhere and play anyone.

In 1929 Yost successfully petititoned rule changes to neuter Rockne's Notre Dame Box offense to try to make it less effective (making it so players had to be set for at least 2 seconds before the snap). But the new rules just made it harder for the defense to know where the ball was going pre-snap. Notre Dame rode that offense to another national championship in 1930.

Keep in mind after reading all that: Notre Dame and Michigan didn't play each other from 1910-1942. And still the entire time Yost was fucking with them and trying to sabotage their program.

You would think that TCUN would’ve realised by now that it is in their interest to bring this thing to a head as quickly as possible period the next recruiting cycle will be bad enough without compounding matters further. The attempt to bring Harbaugh back for a guest appearance shows just how delusional these folks are.

I dunno. I gotta disagree.

I think they are handling it PERFECTLY and have been since last fall. I know when I'm called out for something wrong that I know that I did, I prefer to double and triple down on being innocent (or even justified) until I'm in so deep that I'm completely screwed and there's no walking back from it.

"I'm trying to put together a few details before I share a more complete picture, but I can definitely confirm (from sources on both sides of the border) that there was unauthorized access to OSU's video server."

Putting on my ethical hacking and CHFI hat for a second...

It probably wasn't super hard to gain access to it. I sorta doubt the OSU athletic department has the same IT controls as, say, a national defense computer system. Edit to add: And all it would take is using a password cracker on a known account....I sorta doubt they are using smartcards or any type of TFA set up.

I'm guessing you're being sarcastic. But in case you aren't, if I leave my bank website open and I'm logged in, you still aren't allowed to steal from me. The ease of access shouldn't lessen the punishment for doing it.
