Not a TV ban but could advertisers/partners sue the shit out of scUM if the NCAAs final reporter is damning enough? Since scUM would have totally compromised the product they were advertising.

Enough lawsuits and very bad negative press and the true arrogant academia types that still remain at the top on the board at Michigan might act and put their own restraints on the Football program.

What would be the cause? Unless they can show that the sanctions directly affected their revenue, there's not a route that I see. I guess some soft connotation to brand image and value might work, but I think it'd be a long shot.

As for the faculty, I'd guess they won't get involved in football matters. I'd guess their focus is on what they're going to do with their Ono problem. He's laughably in over his head in that job, but he is a sublimely oily political operator, and their elected Board has several jock-sniffers on it. We'd have run his ass already, but part of me thinks he'll weasel his way out of trouble.

Go figure the University that constantly claims to be the only true remaining "academics first athletics second!" institution when it comes to being in major college football actually has the most jock sniffers in high positions.
