2024 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

Hard not to feel like the top half of this bracket is beefed compared to the bottom half. I was stoked for the playoff a month and a half ago and now you have SMU seeded above the team that just beat them last night and Boise State with a bye week. Not to mention an SEC team playing in Columbus the week of Christmas. Wild.

Need to hope Tennessee and Texas don’t do well at least. If they do it of course will be “proof” that the SEC got shafted with Bama getting left out.

UGA is probably sleep walking into the final with the path they were handed so whatever there.

We need to do our part.

I’m trying not to be cynical in the first year of the playoff, but it’s hard not to look at some of the matchups and think they weren’t created for television viewing.

That's the whole point of all of this. It's entertainment not "the fairest tournament we can make for the good of the sport".
