2024 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

He was badly exposed by scUM (even though they won), tOSU, and now ND.

He might do okay there, but I think this season was a confluence of a nice portal haul following him and a Charmin soft schedule. I'd bet good money IU doesn't sniff the playoffs again.
Where is he going to get 20+ transfers with 4+ years playing experience, many in his system at JMU, in the portal every season?

I’ll never stop laughing at the huge embarrassing losses by Top 5 teams to MAC teams (or I dunno, a D1-AA team in the mountains), but it’s interesting how far in the past that Northern Illinois loss is.

No impact on NDs season. And may have been what shook things up to get where they are now.

Regular season ain’t the same.

(And Meyer would do well in this era now)

Man I dunno how. In his 2 biggest games he played to make sure the score didn't look too bad. Bama vs Citadel is less chicken shit than Cignetti.
IU played more fundamentally sound football than they have in my lifetime. They execute well and put up numbers they never have - and they’ve never scheduled hard anyway.

They are well coached on the football skills side. Might just be they’re mostly his experienced JMU guys but they played a lot of good football. I think Cig can coach players up.

Now, the gameplans in big games was chicken shit.
