2024 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

It would have hurt us this year, but the quarter finals cannot be on neutral sites. I stand by that because we would have still boatraced Oregon playing away.

But this won't happen due to TV and brand contacts.

I get the BS of the narrative, but I don't have faith in them fixing the selection process with the bye. Just make it 16 teams based on ranking. If you really need the conference champs and they aren't top 16 put them in at 15 or 16. Hopefully, you don't end up with the best two teams playing in the second round. Oregon and GA were the only 2 of the top 4 that deserved it.
if we expand to 16, then we need to treat it like basketball and let every conference champ in. Otherwise it'll be a bunch of undeserving 4/5 loss teams from 2 conferences, instead of teams that earned it, even if they don't belong.

I'm already sick of this narrative. Boise State and Arizona State were two of those teams and ASU played well above expectations. Oregon went up against a team that was the best team in the country all along but just so happened to sleepwalk through the regular season. ND was ranked 5th in the final CFP rankings so them beating UGA with their back-up is hardly surprising. The bye should've helped UGA if anything to give Stockton more reps. I give zero credence to bye weeks being the cause of these losses
Yeah. Looked more like the teams that got the byes weren't that good.
