From the Detroit Free Press:
U-M wrote that the Big Ten had "agreed to close its investigation, and the University and Coach Harbaugh agreed to accept the three-game suspension.”

The Big Ten wrote no such thing. If anything, the league doubled down on its initial ruling, using the phrase “never waver” to describe its aim to keep integrity a part of competition, and then wrote that the school's choice to withdraw litigation was “indicative of the high standards that the conference and the University seek to uphold." That's not quite I-told-you-so but it is the conference arguing it was right from the start.

See, this hit me odd when I read Michigan's statement, but I wasn't sure at that moment if I had read the B1G statement or someones impression of its position.

On Bucknuts morning 5, they alleged to a poster they have who’s been right so far about all of this.

TIFWIW, but they apparently confirmed this is about gambling now.

The B1G doesn't have an investigative arm, correct? They got all the fax and evidents they needed to suspend Harbaugh from the NCAA.

The agreement, IMO ensures that the B1G doesn't hand down a bowl ban anymore this season. Eventually, the NCAA will likely vacate all of their wins from 2021, 2022 and 2023, but at least they'll have the opportunity to play in a bowl game or CFP.....

The "agreement" referenced by UM was not the actual agreement. More info = more investigation. Gambling should be pretty easy to prove.
