On Bucknuts morning 5, they alleged to a poster they have who’s been right so far about all of this.

TIFWIW, but they apparently confirmed this is about gambling now.
I appreciate you bringing this information here. Speculation based on rumor is one of the primary purposes of message boards. I realize that when I say that it is usually tongue-in-cheek, but I am quite in earnest this time. This adds to the conversation and I'm here for it...

But as for taking it for what it's worth...

To me, both the gambling and the practice video allegations are still unproven allegations and appear to be based partly on rumor and partly on speculation. I AM NOT SAYING THAT I BELIEVE THESE ALLEGATIONS TO BE UNTRUE. Pardon the all-caps, but in my experience, that's the kind of statement that people miss, sometimes even if it's in all-caps.

What I am saying is that I think it is way too early to say that these things are true. So message-board-guy has been right about this huh? That's the thing about message-board-guy; he (and in rare cases she) is right until he (she) isn't.

Do I hope that the practice video thing is proven? Absolutely. And I hope they are hammered into oblivion for it.
Do I hope that the gambling thing is true? As much as I would be here for the schadenfreude, that bit of it might hint at futures like that of Art Schlichter, and I find myself unable to wish that on anyone. And I certainly wouldn't want to see that aspect of it spill beyond TCUN, but I fear that @Oh8ch is probably right. If that bit's true, it probably doesn't remain confined to TCUN. That would be a tragedy, to me. That would be the kind of scandal that would rock the foundations of the sport and change it forever, and not for the better.

we need to coordinate a truck load of shovels...

Better idea, hear me out on this.

- Somehow declare unilateral secession from the United States.

- Levy a tax

- Raise a militia

- train said militia

- gather a bunch of the beer drinking assholes who like to perch and steelhead fish late into the season.

- invade TSUN from the U.P. with the boats, now an amphibious force... and through Toledo with boots and armour.

- problem solved

I considered nukes, but that's just too messy.

At this point, it seems almost a sure thing that at least one of the following happened:

-Clinkscale was caught in being involved in the cheating. And/or
-Clinkscale took an immunity deal and admitted that the coaches knew

With that information, I don’t think its outside of the realm of possibility, that the NCAA tells UM that any future game with Clinkscale and coaches X, Y and Z on the sideline will absolutely be forfeited once final punishment is handed down.

Doesn’t stop Ono and the Regents from saying “Fuck you” and going down with the ship in hopes of a tainted Championship, but that seems like its signing thier own personal death wish.

Arrogance about their rectitude while wrong
Arrogance about their honesty while lying
Arrogance about their sportsmanship while shitting on the integrity of the game
Arrogance about their integrity while cheating
Arrogance about their superiority while being inferior in every legitimate category of human worth

I honor, respect, and even revere the memories of my father and grandfather. But it makes me sick to think that they spoke of respecting these pathetic fools. I will give them a pass, as it was a different time and because there was much they did not know. It was borne of the kind of respect that people used to have for one another; the kind of respect that this world needs more of. But there comes a time when a person, or a group of people, has crossed a line that loses them that base level of respect. That line is so far back in the rearview mirror that I can't even see it.

UTQTFS - And may that be soon

IF it's gambling, that's going to take a lot of investigation. I suspect it will run for quite a while, well into 2024 I'd have to think. But IF it gambling, that program is about to turn into a nuclear wasteland. That's as bad as it gets.
It is not just the gambling but that they were using insider information via the stolen signs to place these bets. That on top of the already pending NCAA investigation puts them as a repeat violator. "The rule stipulates that if a second major violation occurs at any institution within five years of being on probation in the same sport or another sport, that institution can be barred from competing in the sport involved in the second violation for either one or two seasons. In cases of particularly egregious misconduct, a school can also be stripped of its right to vote at NCAA conventions for four years."
