I understand that @Thump
I'm just saying if he's the embodiment of the university on this uncontroverted scheme, then penalize the fkn university as well. Withhold their revenue for the season, sanction their dipshit general counsel, smack Ono with a gag order, et cetera. Not just a feckless three-game suspension of a figurehead.
The document clearly stated that more punishment is on the table.

Good article.

From that article
But there is another statement in the Big Ten letter that should send shivers to the Wolverines, saying “the staff member was in close communications with at least some of the coaches on the University’s football team. This evidence also revealed significant new information from interviews that the University attended, information that is covered by confidentiality under the NCAA’s rules so as not discussed further here.”

If this proves true, more penalties will be coming.

Zero self awareness or not, even the dumbest of them have to start reading the none too subtle writing on the wall here. The NCAA is being unbelievably direct.

Michigan fans all for respecting the court system and "due process"

............

Of course cheering on the use of clearly pro Michigan biased judges and them holding off so they can get Harbaugh on the sideline through the Ohio State game.

Ok so he can’t be at the games. It’s not just the sidelines it’s at the games as well.

It’s an ok deal guys. We were never getting the Assistants too. Only way it could’ve been better is banned from practice too.

However most aren’t taking into account what the head coach does from an organization standpoint on game day. This is a big blow but I expect them to fight it anyways

It also doesn't include post season.
I would have rather seen indefinite suspensions for just the OC and DC.
This is probably about as much as they can do without it becoming a full blown legal mess, and basically become futile with court intervention which could take weeks.

It's going to be a full blown legal mess either way.
Punishing Harbaugh as a symbol, is also pretty weak. It leaves open interpretations that this is vengeance and not about sportsmanship.

They have the coordinators dead to rights.
End their careers in this conference forever. There is no argument their continued presence threatens the validity of the competition.

From page 3 of BIG's response...may not mean much, but...

The Conference also consulted with U.S. Integrity, which
confirmed the Conference’s view that immediate transparency about the information the
Conference had learned was important
