Ha. Leave the Big Ten, in hopes to join the SEC. Didn't that happen to one of the California schools, before Oregon and Washington announced their departure? They thought they'd get into the PAC-## conference. Then they said, "Oh, just kidding." That's what M*ch*gan would do.
But imagine they leave the Big Ten, and the SEC doesn't want them. Is their next idea to make their own conference? Get EMU, CMU, and WMU. Screw MSU - we don't want those nerds. Then who? Is Notre Dam joining? HA! No. Maybe they'll get Albion College and Saginaw Community College and Traverse City School for the Blind. Since you need 8 teams to be a real conference (from what I remember), they'll get Ann Arbor High School and insist they get an automatic bid to the playoffs every year.
Except to say that Vandy, Georgia, Texas, and Florida - unless DeSantis decides to kill the school - all approach Michigan levels of academic and research strength. Missou once had a very strong J-school - don't know if that still holds - and Okie has an excellent faculty in its Middle East department. Defense spending helps Alabama and Auburn in research, especially Redstone Arsenal and Houston NASA.I would be surprised if there is any conversation with the SEC and, if there is, if it would get approval through University structures. We can talk about "the School up North", but the reality is that TCUN is among the world's leading research institutions and academic scholars would be very opposed to a move to a group where academic standards are so much lower and where grants would be in jeopardy. This is real chalk and cheese stuff. We know who Ono is.
I think that everyone is hoping that PSU beats them this weekend. If that happens, hellfire and punishment will be on their doorstep.
That was reported by the WSJ BEFORE the meeting between the B1G and UM yesterday. Even Ballas and Webb are discrediting the article, claiming the conference is pushing forward with some kind of punishment now.Hopefully not true but I’m seeing some on Twitter reporting the big ten will now defer to the NCAA.
If true? What a shame…and hopefully they are absolutely pulverized in the spring or summer of next year.
At this point just beat them
The SEC would want them in a vacuum for the lolz. That's about it.They aren't really talking to the SEC. Something like that wouldn't be going on in the midst of a major NCAA investigation. The SEC wouldn't want a Yankee public Ivy school either. Talk about one of these things is different type of situation.
It's funny to watch their fans put crap out like this.
Fuck guys we are fucked. Ryan Day and his brother committed treason against the United States and are going to be locked up forever.
Seems to be the script. Lots of money on the line.I respect and enjoy Klatt, but I am at a loss on why he's speaking so adamantly about the sign stealing scandal in the manner that he is.
Is it as simple as Fox speaking points?
Yeah no clue… he thinks it’s just sign stealing but isn’t acknowledging how they got the signs it’s oddI respect and enjoy Klatt, but I am at a loss on why he's speaking so adamantly about the sign stealing scandal in the manner that he is.

I just listened to him, and in my personal opinion I agree with him. There is a process that needs played out.I respect and enjoy Klatt, but I am at a loss on why he's speaking so adamantly about the sign stealing scandal in the manner that he is.
