I think the use of "analysts" to the degree that programs use them is part of the problem that led to this. Many of the so called analysts are quants and tech wiz's that are basically office ogres that sit in a cubicle and have a very thin association with the actual team, other than to provide useful data. What even veils it even more, is who is actually paying guys like that; the university or booster? However, even though Hairball may have some deniability that he "personally" directed any signal stealing, he apparently used the information without question.

I don’t honestly give a shit if he knew or didn’t…
What matters is they have been caught and can’t do it again and PSU and OSU are going to order up a number 6 on these fuckers now.
Tomorrow is for the conference. Go Bucks!
They couldn't send their errand boys to scout TCU ahead of time, and look at the result.

The answer always being either;
A) you knew, are lying and are going to be fired or
B) you didn't know, you are completely irresponsible, derelict in your duties are and are going to be fired.

If it's bad enough (which is still tbd in this case), the leader always goes down

Please explain because hoping I get to annoy people is not even remotely close to what I said. If Michigan schedules cream puffs and it annoys people, then continue to do it. I personally wouldn’t annoy people. Comprehension is key. Then again you seemed to get triggered by Deion Sanders.

I’m type of guy that will hold the door open for somebody if they are wearing OSU gear. The type of guy that will go to a rivalry game to enjoy the experience and not talk shit to other fans considering we have no impact on the game. The type of guy that doesn’t send death threats to players that cost their team a win. The type of guy that doesn’t get mad at an outstanding citizen and quarterback because they can’t beat their rivalry like Stroud. McCarthy could throw 4 picks against OSU and I wouldn’t get all huffy and puffy about it because he is an outstanding young man that does a lot of good outside of football. Every human is different though.
Any guesses as to when we'll see this rodent fan again. Just busting balls Zwem, you're a shining example of why we love to hate our rival. Hope to see you soon.

The same dude had a previous post that the school should fire the guy who scouted TCU. You can't scout a team when the regular season is over you big dummy. Lol
I think that goes to stupid people being confused about what cheating was taking place. They weren’t scouting the tape. They were going to stadiums all season and recording the sideline coaches giving signals. As you point out, you can’t decide to do that after the fact. But, again, people are dumb and they were “just scouting.”

from 11W Forums...

Okay, now there is a bit more information about UM’s sign-stealing. In case you don’t have time to skim through different news outlets, here is what I found. I don't think Harbaugh survives this.

Per ESPN

Connor Stalions, a football analyst with the Wolverines and a retired captain in the United States Marine Corps, is a person of interest in the investigation into whether No. 2-ranked Michigan violated an NCAA rule by scouting future opponents in person at games, sources said. Sources said the NCAA enforcement staff's level of interest in Stalions is so significant it sought access to his computer as part of its investigation.
"This is worse than both the Astros and the Patriots -- it's both use of technology for a competitive advantage and there's allegations that they are filming prior games, not just in-game," a Big Ten source said. "If it was just an in-game situation, that's different. Going and filming somewhere you're not supposed to be. It's illegal. It's too much of an advantage."

Per Bleacher Report

Stalions technically works in the recruiting department under director of recruiting Albert Karschnia, but Thamel and Schlabach noted it's known within the Wolverines' building he spends "much of his time deciphering opponents' signals, often watching television copies of opponents' games." "He had one role," one source with knowledge of Michigan's staff told Thamel and Schlabach.
Per Thamel and Schlabach, Michigan has used an "elaborate" scouting system to steal signs from future opponents dating back to the 2021 season.

Per Scarlet and Game

The allegation is that TTUN has been stealing signals since 2021…Things seem to get fishier and fishier. Stalions allegedly would email programs and try to get access during gameday. His excuse was that he wanted to see how to handle things logistically when that team was facing Michigan. That raised alarms with an unnamed Big Ten team.
