I thought this one had nothing to do with Stalions and was solely about the covid violations and Simple Jim lying amd refusing to cooperate.
I got that from Bo Bishop on 97.1 who listed the violations in this notice and included "improperly using an analyst on field." I don't subscribe to the newspaper linked in the tweet, but I found this on the intertubes and it clarifies. Edit: I was confusing Stalions with this "defensive analyst," which seems to me to be completely new. At least I didn't realize Hariball was using an off-field analyst other than Porn Name on the field.
"A draft of the notice of the allegations was sent to Michigan in January. The document outlined the Level I violation Harbaugh is accused of and the Level II infractions. The potential violations also include the use of an off-field defensive analyst for on-field coaching activities, per ESPN.

A separate NCAA investigation is underway to determine whether Michigan was involved in prohibited off-campus advanced scouting and an alleged sign-stealing operation. Former football staffer Connor Stalions has been identified as a key figure in the possible operation."

Check this out for more about the allegations and how the analyst's actions led to the NCAA investigation. And by the way, Stalions had nothing to do with any of this. The next round of NCAA alleged allegations, that's another story with respect to Connor.

I know another notice of violations is on the way from NCAA, but it seems odd that they included Porn Name's illegal usage and ignored the spying and cheating in this notice. Then there's the interstate computer hacking... the FBI will probably work even slower than the NCAA typically does on that case, I suppose.
Stalions isn't anywhere to found in this one. This is the formal NOA for the "Burgergate" violations. They got a draft one last summer, tried to reach a deal with TCUN and that fell apart. That's when they "suspended" Hairball for the first 3 games of the year hoping the NCAA would accept that. ( Narrator: They won't) The NCAA said at the time they would take action in that case after the season. The Stalions "sign stealing" affair is a completely different investigation. As for the computer crimes investigation that the FBI is involved in, from everything I've read the NCAA had nothing to do with, only law enforcement, and that and it really doesn't involve the football program, just Wiess.
