So, Corum is either lying about his involvement with BC2 or He's not and Connor Stalions is in some serious legal/criminal trouble.
Be a damned shame if (when?) this guy has to either sit down in a room with detectives/fbi/irs agents or give a sworn deposition/testimony under oath. Either way, he's fucked. And as others have said, if Ono had moved quickly to do the right thing, most of this is going away. OTOH, if Ono had an idea how rotten the football program and these people were and still went to the mattresses for them, it becomes the biggest case of LOIC since SMU. So, Ono becomes either the stupidest university President in history or the most corrupt.

If a partnership was formed, there would be a tax return to be filed. That tax return would include all income/expenses of the entity and would issue a K-1 to each member reporting their share of the net income/loss of the business. That K-1 would include the partner’s name, address, and SSN. How would ponyboy have access to a SSN unless provided by Corum? Assuming there was a tax return filed, of course.

This is where subpoena power would come in really handy.

And why Ono rushing headlong into a discovery process to protect Simple Jim is idiocy.

We both know they never filed a tax return.

This is where I'm at. Why would you take either your highest, or second highest profile player and put him in that position? Corum doesn't need Stallions in order to make money, so I doubt he was the driver in that relationship. So why would he be the one?
And Stalions doesn’t need Corum to open a business.

Either way Corum was dumb enough to comment on it and people will find out his dealings. Would be hilarious if this all leads to betting. Would explain him staying in school.
Just saying he’s a “business partner” with Corum would make him feel important and might even help him get laid in that whore town.
I think Stalions carrying around an LLC filing would throw a lot of cold water on attempting to get laid lol…. But I mean yeah maybe for status but I doubt he wanted anyone to actually know about the LLC. Only way for status makes sense is if he was able to be loud about it but that’s not what he was doing.

Let's unpack this a little using Occam Razor (All things being equal, the simplest explanation is most likely the truth)

1) Stations put Corum on the incorporation papers with his consent. The only problem is (as you have noted) you have created criminal fraud exposure without any benefit that I can see. So....

2) Corum did "go into business" with Stalions but has chosen to lie about it. There is no need to lie if it was a legitimate business opportunity. What I have seen is a staff member can't have a player as an employee but nothing about business partners is prohibited. So next we come to gambling. This is interesting because it has so many negative implications for SCUM. But would have many more people involved and creates lots of risk of exposure. A simpler reason might be to create a "storefront" run by O'Dea that would allow Corum to funnel money to a small portion of his NIL largess to Stalions sign stealing operation in a very efficient manner.

Just something to think about.
Basically all the stages of laundering then…

Placement with the money, layering through the business and integration toward the scheme.

The money isn’t dirty and the integration doesn’t break any laws but the money certainly would break NCAA rules.

And it’s going to get much worse because there’s just so many balls of string to unravel.

Michigan (all of them) but the benefit of this season ahead of their future. They’ll wish they hadn’t done that next year.

Secret homosexual lovers?
Lol, that thought actually crossed my mind.

The BMOC angle suggested by BB73 might also have some merit.

More likely, it's some fanboy obsession on Stalion's part, creating (or concocting) a business relaionship with his idol. Stalion basically called Harbaugh his BFF in a court filing, and he's the author if The Michigan Manifesto, so he's a bit unhinged, tCun's version of Ed Grimley.

In any event, the Stalion saga is the most interesting thing to happen in CFB for a very long time. And if Stalion's actions lead to the demise of tCun, so much the better.

And fuck K-1's. Those things fucking suck!

Bought some shares of Cedar Fair L.P. back around 2008-2009 or so and had no idea that decision would single-handedly force me to have to buy the most expensive version of TurboTax vs using the free, simple version.

The drive by media says we are all guilty of stealing signs and it’s a non-story. Michigan spins and stonewalls till it goes away. The media is carrying their water. It works in politics and college football is politics light. The laptop is lost ….
