Did Hairball figure this out by watching hacked tOSU practice video?
It's like getting into an argument with Pee Wee Herman ..... "I know you are, but what am I ?"

Not to be a wet rag, but I'm beginning to lower my expectations about justice being served here. If Ono has the backing of the board with his strategy of insisting on "due process" while simultaneously doing everything possible to frustrate any investigations and muddy the waters with false information, this could drag out for a long time. One thing I've come to realize lately is that it's really hard to punish anyone if they have the resources to keep fighting and lack any compunction about making false accusations of their own while denying all truthful accusations by others. Ono seems like he might be that type of guy.

So, while we are waiting for official word I thought I would throw something out for everyone to ponder.

There is a YouTube show I follow called the Monty show. They are out of Utah. I started watching them during pac12 meltdown. They had shocking good information before stuff happened or before it hit the media. More recently they had the Ono meeting called a day or 2 ahead of them.

Yesterday , their sources believe Petitti is leaning towards a 4 game suspension. I haven’t heard that number from anywhere else . For discussion purposes, let say that is true. The suspension would be through the big 10 championship (or their bowl game).

My first reaction was … not enough , I want indefinite . Then I thought about it more and then I realized how much of bind this puts Michigan in. With indefinite , you sue because why not . Harbaugh season would be over anyways if you don’t so every game he is on the sidelines would be a bonus.

With a 4 game suspension , I’m not sure if you sue . If you accept it , he is available for the cfp. If you go to court , he coaches against psu/Maryland but might be unavailable for the cfp if the lose the suit

Just something to think about .

What I’d like to see:

Hairball sues, coaches in the game and gets pantsed

What I’d love to see:

Hairball doesn’t coach in the game, the CUNTS get pantsed, the CUNTS cry, “it was because the big meanies took our dear fuhrer from us, not because we weren’t able to execute on stolen signals (because the hobbitses are watching, always watching precious)”

They convince enough people that the CUNTS are allowed into the CFP
In the CFP, the Buckeyes pants them worse than they did in the pig house

Any suspension has to include the coordinators. No way they were not as involved as Jimmuh.

Hold on now

what makes you think that cheaters would try to worm their way out of accountability by lying?

How about this. They suspend every coach, grad assistant and waterboy with knowledge in addition to Harbaugh for 4 games. (Replacing them with Brian Ferentz and Alex Grinch)

Let them play in the Reliaquest bowl, then have the NCAA come in later and drop a LOIC on them to vacate that and whatever other future sanctions they're feeling like.

I mean they're not going to self impose a postseason ban while they await their punishment from the NCAA. It would be unprecedented for a team with an undefeated record to do that! Oh wait.

I respect and enjoy Klatt, but I am at a loss on why he's speaking so adamantly about the sign stealing scandal in the manner that he is.
Is it as simple as Fox speaking points?

It's their big noon whatever game this week, so they need ratings up.
That means maintaining the scandal, preferably with Harbaugh still in place.
All I want from the BIG is Harbaugh and both coordinators banned from coaching in the big10 forever and banned from participating in the championship game. The rest will come from the NCAA after the year is over.

Same. Id even take just the OC and DC for now.
Let Harbaugh be both coordinators, or try to fill slots from his "analysts" for the end.

I understand the argumnent to let the process play out - but what is the very first thing UM did to Stalion when this story broke?

Yea they keep using legal terms. But in that analogy, Michigan is arrested and behind bars awaiting their due process trial.
If they want bail, they can suspend some people. Real people - not a low level patsy.
PSU just beat MD and put 51 points on them. They may have broken through and figured out their offensive issues. So, things may get interesting for the TCUN in Happy Valley.

Yea i think people were underselling PSU and our D after the game.
This D has become better and better as the season goes on. Allar is better than Buckeye fans want to credit him, because we aren't used to having an elite secondary.
They act like they’re doing this together against Michigan for made up purposes.

This isn’t the mob. You broke the rules lol

I dono. Stalions, Harbaugh, and Ono are all very much acting similar to a mob.
Hiding behind "due process" they don't believe in. "I never seen that guy". "nobody else was involved"
LOL......they honestly think the B1G would crumble without the mediocrity of Michigan.

For real. Even their arrogance will be readily replaced by UCLA and USC.
We lose nothing.
The fact it is taking CMU so long to "investigate" this only reveals how deep this scandal is. It's either CS or it isn't. Their problem is that they know it is and heads have to roll once that is acknowledged.

I mean it's obviously him. The problem is who gave him the pass and the coach gear?
Those people aren't going to talk and it's kind of a dead end.

Oh that’s coming…. Well the facial recognition expert said it wasnt an exact match (even though he said it was highly likely it’s the same person). Right now it’s all loopholes and spy glasses. That’s all they got.

My hope is that they find Jim approved his absence from the team or better yet arranged it with the other Jim. We all knew it was him after the CMU coach said “there’s no place for that” and called him the sign stealer guy. Btw the fact he called him that to me told me he knew that was Connor.

Why does this feel like the scUM equivalent of Sandusky's nose size.

If I had to speculate, I'd say they were dabbling in the in-person scouting (maybe just pony boy himself?) pre-covid. They noticed the cold turkey impact of dropping it altogether and then Day threatened to drop 100 on them when they showed their shit colors in 2020 and then Harbaugh freaked out and went all-in.

I still think Army needs to check their seat sales from 13-16. He "assisted" Navy football in some unknown capacity... and i dont feel like he's smart enough to come up with all of this on his own first time in the job.

McCarthy has to go. Right now, there will be questions, but if he comes back and stinks up the place without the cheating his draft stock plummets Brady Quinn style.

Is he savvy enough to realize that?
I think their players are arrogant enough to not realize in the moment and stay in denial for forever.
When this is a 30-30, the players will still insist they got no competitive advantage from cheating.

The whole point of UM throwing so much shit against the wall is to gaslight and make people give up on what is real or not… but coaches sharing info on signs they gathered in games against an opponent without electronically recording it actually does seem like a gray area in the rule about pre-scouting.

It’s also really, really funny that apparently everyone was doing this except for UM because everyone in the conference does, in fact, hate them (or they were also doing it and they continue to be massive hypocrites).

They didn't need to do it, because they were being true cheaters.
Also, i imagine this requires a coaching tree. As we saw, all they had was CMU... and instead of getting McElwain to talk for an hour, they sent Stalions for the whole weekend.
How legal would it be to have a cloud based file sharing network set up like this:
you have every user sign a paper release form allowing the network access to your device and download/mirror is contents every time the user signs in. You know, so you can verify which footage that user has viewed or confirm homework assignments are completed. And to make sure they aren't adding unapproved applications to their school-issued device. Or saving system files outside the approved network or distributing them by, say, email? The hypothetical legal issue here arises if an unapproved user accesses your network using stolen credentials and you mirror their device? Would you be legally allowed to browse through the contents and/or forward the contents to any governing bodies or law enforcement entities?

That's a lot of GB every time somebody signs on.
Don't see that as feasible.

The fact that there is video of Stalions on the sideline talking to Hairball blows holes in the “I didn’t know anything bad was happening” argument. Did Hairball think Stalions was so brilliant he was able decipher signals from the first play of the game? I know he’s special, but I don’t think he’s that special.
This

This is why it’s not just the discovery process that makes lawsuits emanating from the Whore Up North a bad idea.

He can’t make his case without saying he wasn’t aware: he can’t say that without opening himself up to a perjury charge; one that the discovery process is likely to prove.

And that’s probably just the tip of the perjury iceberg

why open himself up to all of that when the rules that he agreed to live by state that he is held accountable whether he knew or not?

arrogance

when you’re talking about why CUNTS do what they do, the answer is usually arrogance
