Everybody is laughing at them. Literally nobody is on their side in this, and some of the media is only preaching due process, and not that scum is innocent.

The ability to overestimate your worth, and visions of grandeur are indications of mental health issues or a cult, and probably both.

The only "smoke" about any of this is coming from Michigan and their dope insiders who get duped by any twitter rumor that is positive for Michigan. If there was even a chance of anything really bad coming out about all of the rest of the conference, you know the insiders of other B1G schools would already be starting to be "worried". But like you said everyone is laughing at them and pointing out the clear desperation to deflect attention away from them. Geeeeeeeee a article about a "anonymous former B1G staffer" claiming something is dropped by a super biased Michigan reporter right around the same time the news come out that the B1G served them notice of suspension? They've got nothing of actual merit, it's just final PR Hail Mary's to try to sway public perception somewhat more in favor of Michigan so they can try to pull the "poor us" card. It won't work, but that's what it is.

Agreed, and once you see all the different pieces come out, it is painfully obvious what is going on here.

Nobody this day and age especially is just going to have a giant book of dirt on everyone else and it be kept fucking secret. There would be shit all over right now if any of this were true and every other B1G school would be starting to panic. Everyone is laughing though. The next "bombshell" if there even is one, is surely going to be even dumber than the first attempt. I bet it's something lame like "so and so broke some ticky tack rule under the COVID guidelines"

This shit gets more stupid by the second.

A TV ban for the rest of the season? A good way to piss off 17 million viewers for the OSU/Michigan game. I think FOX would strike that down real quick. This was from 2020 discussing the lost revenue for canceling the OSU/Michigan game back then. "Fox enjoyed an estimated $18.5 million in TV advertising revenue from last year’s OSU-UM game, per New York City-based ad spending tracker Standard Media Index."

I respect and enjoy Klatt, but I am at a loss on why he's speaking so adamantly about the sign stealing scandal in the manner that he is.
Is it as simple as Fox speaking points?
Yes.

This is it. This really is the last dance situation for them. After this year with the sanctions coming and the kids leaving the program this is truly it.

Next year they’ll be without both backs, both WRs, I think McCarthy has to go too, what 4 of the 5 on offensive line? Defense will lose their DL, both LBs and I think 2 in their secondary.

I mean they lose everyone.

You add those penalties in and perhaps Johnson jumps ship and some of the others too.

They are fucked either way so I don’t blame them for just saying screw it we need to win now.
Maybe. Win the Big Ten three straight years, go to the CFP, graduate a bunch and have a few drafted to create openings, they have great facilities, biggest stadium, strong alum support - unless the sky falls on them in the form of Pettiti and the NCAA - they can portal and recruit in all the help they need to remain in the top three in the conference.

Without their cheat sheets and all their good players leaving, they might be "remain in the top 3" but they are more likely like the "better" Harbaugh teams pre 2020. 2-3 losses in the great years, no playoff and laughable losses in 2nd rate bowls.

Their recruiting has actually declined after the last 2 years of success somehow. Elite recruits just aren't buying into what Harbaugh is selling. The portal is nice but building most of your team off of it is not long term sustainable for success.

Are they still not selling into the NIL deal just trying to buy recruits with their brand? I remember a while back they essentially said we don’t need NIL, kids will come here because they want to play here.

They have NIL programs, don't let them fool you with that crap. Michigan just isn't as attractive as the other big dogs. Harbaugh seems to get less interested in recruiting year after year as well, that probably has a lot to do with it too. Strategy seems to be If they miss out on their top option they seem to just start throwing darts and take whatever random low 4* or 3* will say yes first.

Ok, Short and sweet version - Any "bombshells" put out by scUM friendly media at this point are going to be nothing more than desperate PR attempts. They have nothing that could truly damage any other schools.
