Ric Flair Met with Jim Harbaugh and Everyone Made the Same ‘Dirtiest Players’ Joke

In this story:

Michigan Wolverines

Ric Flair was responsible for all sorts of dirty deeds during his legendary wrestling career, but did he ever do something as dastardly as steal an opponent’s signs?
Flair paid a visit to the Michigan football team in Ann Arbor on Monday, an appearance that coach Jim Harbaugh said “brought the enthusiasm to a new level” in the meeting room.

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh's college football program is being investigated for sign-stealing.

Harbaugh called Flair “a very close friend” and the two posed for a photo in Harbaugh’s office, which Flair then posted on social media.

This time last month, the photo would have been completely unremarkable. But after the revelation that a Michigan staffer was accused of illegally videotaping opponents for the purpose of stealing signs, Harbaugh being pictured with a notorious cheater was suddenly a lot funnier.

The photo made plenty of fans think of one of Flair’s many nicknames: “The Dirtiest Player in the Game,” and they all quickly piled on Harbaugh with similar wisecracks.

If it was an intentional move on Harbaugh’s part to invite one of the most famous cheaters in sports history to campus just as his team is accused of blatantly disregarding the rules, you have to give him credit for leaning into Michigan’s newfound status as the biggest heel in college football.

CUNTS being CUNTS because that's what they are....

LOL......they honestly think the B1G would crumble without the mediocrity of Michigan.

I said the exact same thing and that’s where their lack of foresight come in. They’re are absolutely sacrificing their future to get this year in. Corruption within the program? Who cares it takes at least 90 days so we can sneak the year in.

I've made this point a bunch of times last few years, but Michigan is in a small window that was about to close anyways. Their roster is loaded with upper-classmen transfer portal players that utilized the free Covid year given to any student athlete on campus in 2020. That rule expires next year and with it, an end to all the 24, 25, and 26 year olds that have managed to play college football for 7 years due to red-shirts, medical red-shirt seasons, etc.

I make the same point to all my FSU buddies who think Norvell has masterfully turned the ship around......I'll wait to see what he can do when literally half their starters are NOT upper-classmen transfers.

I get that the transfer portal is here to stay.....where I think people misunderstand my position on this, including my FSU buddies, is the Covid year made it extra enticing to transfer bc of the "free year" given to players. A guy who might've only had 1 year in a program, magically gets 2 years, and it eases the concern of taking that leap to a new school when you're assured multiple years to compete.

I'm willing to bet the transfer portal shrinks by 30% once the system is exhausted of covid year eligible players.

And if you want to a fun research project.....look up FSU and Michigan's recruiting class rankings. It's comical how similar they are. But it also makes sense....what incoming freshman wants to commit to a program where they're just going to bring in a transfer portal player with experience over you?

Both Michigan and FSU have this season to capitalize and then the window has closed. Michigan and FSU both lose such a substantial amount of their roster after this season, and their recruiting has not been strong enough to sustain current success. I actually assumed Harbaugh would be gone after this season anyways, because he knows exactly how he has built this team since 2020. In fairness to Michigan, they've had a larger window (last 3 years), but that's likely because they cheated with the experienced players they brought in. FSU literally has this year, and then they're fucked from a talent stand-point.

To summarize my thoughts: Michigan knows this is their last year to come anywhere close to a title anyways. Might as well go all-in and try and win the Natty even if you're going to give it back.....their roster looks comically average going into 2024 and they know that.

From the latest Athletic article about NCAA/CMU

Though the NCAA appears to be moving quickly as it follows up on leads related to this investigation, it is still not expected to reach a resolution prior to the end of the current season. That has prompted Big Ten coaches and athletic directors to apply pressure on commissioner Tony Petitti, who has the authority to take action against Michigan, if he chooses to, under the league’s sportsmanship policy.

Those in Ann Arbor and elsewhere in the conference expect resolution by mid-week as Petitti mulls his options. Multiple school sources have told The Athletic that Michigan could take legal action if the conference attempts to suspend head coach Jim Harbaugh indefinitely before the conclusion of the NCAA investigation.

Yep them letting Ohio State in the title game after certain opponents COVID'ed out of their games is very much equal with Michigan's vast elaborate cheating scheme. They never cease to keep proving the D in DFBIA.

The B1G changed a rule in November that they had invented in October. CONSPIRACY!

Never mind the change resulted from TCUN cunting out of The Game. Fucking idiots.

They realize that with the penalties that are coming, along with other team and recruiting factors, that it will be at least another 25 years until they have half a chance at a title. This year is their only hope.
Yes.

This is it. This really is the last dance situation for them. After this year with the sanctions coming and the kids leaving the program this is truly it.

Next year they’ll be without both backs, both WRs, I think McCarthy has to go too, what 4 of the 5 on offensive line? Defense will lose their DL, both LBs and I think 2 in their secondary.

I mean they lose everyone.

You add those penalties in and perhaps Johnson jumps ship and some of the others too.

They are fucked either way so I don’t blame them for just saying screw it we need to win now.

I saw on another site someone asked a great question that bears repeating: If Ono is so concerned about due process why didn't he step in when they suspended CS. They certainly did not allow for due process on his part.

Ono is only concerned about what makes him look good.

I still say he will flip on Harbaugh once things start getting really bad.

Oh yeah if something comes out showing simple Jim knew of all this? Probably would shut the season down to be honest as a way to overcompensate.

That brings me to this… they really need to hammer this CMU ordeal because that’s where the tie is to Harbaugh with the CMU head coach
