The interstate crime was the pervert Weiss collecting pics.

I could be wrong, but my working theory is the "interstate cybercrime" was hacking the Woody.
Police looked at his laptop... and then found his "other" research and the signals.
Because they're looking at hacking of the Woody, the signal stuff also becomes relevant and potentially could enter the record during trial, showing context and that the hacking was coordinated / part of a larger scheme.
And the "other research" was an immediate firing.

Anyone else want to be investigated for sign stealing? Please identify yourself!

But doesn't that go against the statement from UMPD that the Weiss investigation and and the "sign stealing" investigation are in no way related?

Would hacking into the WHAC or the cloud that has practice footage be related to "sign stealing"? I guess it all depends on what the UMPD defines as related. The only thing I can recall that was mentioned was hacking emails.

So I guess Brian Kelly has come out "in support of" M*ch*gan in this. here's what he said:

https://wolverineswire.usatoday.com/2023/10/29/lsus-brian-kelly-comes-to-michigan-footballs-defense/

Maybe I'm a goober, but he's talking about stealing signs. If the other team can figure out your signs, good for them. That's not the problem here. We're worried about the fact that they scouted other teams ahead of the game, and used electronic devices to record them. In one scenario, you have about 3 or 3-1/2 hours to decipher the other team's signals. You have the eyeballs of the coaching staff, and maybe players. In the other scenario, you have I don't know how many people to decipher the code, and weeks. And, you have computer algorithms and AI and stuff to help you. And there's no doubt that M*ch*gan was using it, because they had laminated sheets showing the other teams' signals. You don't figure out the other team's plays and then run over to the printer and print them out and then laminate them during the game. I know I'm not explaining this to anyone who needs to be convinced.... I'm just venting. Brian Kelly is a doofus, but he did not come out in support of M*ch*gan.
Brian Kelly doesn't have all the 411. If he was supporting the info he does have concerning the extent Stalions had gone, including having full taped practices of game plans of opps, it is a bad mark on his character.

He's a Dutch guy who made somewhere between $50-100 million playing Minecraft on YouTube. He made some comments that were critical of JK Rowling, and suddenly he was an antisemite. He's "canceled," but he doesn't give a fuck because he's a gamer dork who made ~$75 million by the time he was 28 years old.
Now that he has 75 million and doesn't give a fuck......he should change his name. No one takes you serious when you're name is Pewdie Pie.

I might have missed something in these 277 pages. Do we know for sure that SCUM has videotape of OSU practices? Furthermore, have we confirmed that they obtained it through cybercrime?

Since OSU warned TCU about this it is most assuredly not about the regular in game things going on in stealing signs. So I wonder what OSU knows or even knew about the extent of it then.

Ugh - I'm getting more and more angry about this. This is one of the biggest scandals in sports.

What scandal has been worse?
Patriots filming opposition for signals? I think this is worse. At a minimum, they're tied.
Patriots deflategate? I think this is worse.
Astros? Meh, I think this is worse.
Pete Rose? Yeah, maybe that was worse. Maybe. But that was one guy - this is a whole team.
1919 White Sox (Black Sox)? No - this is worse. That was one series. This is 2-1/2 years, at least.
Steroids in the game? Yeah, maybe that was worse, too.
Tattoogate? HA! This is way worse!!
SMU paying players? This is worse. Signalgate is way worse.

And, again, I'm pessimistic that the Big Ten will do anything in time. It's already been mentioned that the NCAA CAN'T do anything in time. The only entities who CAN make this right are the Big Ten and the playoff committee. They each have a chance to stop M*ch*gan from getting into the party. We all know that M*ch*gan is going to cause mayhem in there, and I don't mean on the football field. Whatever they might win, it's going to be taken away. Why let them in?
