And the more the team relies on the success of this program, the more important it becomes. If I'm involved, I'm making sure there are back-ups. I'm old, so I put all my work files on the employer's server. If my computer decides to break, my files are still good. I assume he has access to servers or a cloud or some type of back-up system. Multiple flash drives? Multiple computers? You know... if you get caught, you do the equivalent to shredding the incriminating files - you smash and destroy that laptop. But you want to be able to access them when the heat is off - you saved all that data and information somewhere.
I agree - get your hands on that laptop, or backed-up data, or server...

I wonder, though... what other teams are doing this? But the other teams are better at hiding it. After my initial shock that 1 team was caught doing this, I think I might be even more shocked if we find out that no other team is doing this... just better at not being caught.

Exactly.

Stuff like this finds its way out, doesn't matter who it was who "leaked it". You still fucking cheated. Doesn't make it any less worse.
