I am just outright confused by many in the mainstream media thinking this is not a big deal.

We are literally talking about gaining an advantage on the football field and somehow this isn’t a problem and it’s “everyone does it” or “it was that Joe Moore offensive line not sign stealing” or finally it’s “well technically the staffer didn’t go to the games”.

That’s not even accounting for Clay Travis and Cowherd thinkings it’s also not a big deal.

Like what the fuck are we talking about here

Clay Travis is such a joke. The night the Urban Meyer/Smith story broke he was calling for UM to be fired. He was more mad at UM than ZS for ZS abusing his wife. Lol. Fast forward to this scandal and the ass doesn't say shit....literally no mention on Twitter. He rails and rails and rails about the left leaning media not reporting on scandals on the left....he is the exact same as the people he hates.

Hot take prediction: Harbaugh will get accused of taking a penny out of the cup at the convenient store and putting it in his pocket. M*ch*gan will fire him.

Either that or an NFL team will get paid money by.... someone.... by Big Foot, maybe? Or by Stanley Kubrick, maybe. Anyway, that team will get paid to hire Harbaugh right now, and Harbaugh will take it. He'll go stand on the sidelines and wear a headset, but that headset won't be hooked up to anything. M*ch*gan football will be put on ultra-double-secret-triple probation, and they'll be forced to give Bielema a hundred hot dogs.

Agreed.

Also add Brady Quinn to the Michigan supporters too along with Sanders at Colorado.

What I keep seeing is “this is common, so take measures against it” or “you still have to make the play”.

Like excuse me? That’s why there’s signals to decipher. Other teams are making efforts to disguise the plays. Also just make a play regardless? It’s a little harder to do that when the other team has an idea of what you’re going to do.

Blows my damn mind that everyone can see how much this could’ve impacted games (especially in 2021). The other team illegally got their opponents signals which lets them know where the play is going!

HR experts can say for sure but this is a moral turpitude firing if tsun wants it to be.

Easy

Agreed. You and I are playing poker. Sure, I still have to get the cards to beat your hand. But how much of an advantage is it that I know what your cards are? Should I get to keep the money I "won" after you find out, or are you likely to have your goons kick the shit out of me?

If it doesn't give a competitive advantage, why did they do it?

If you want to say "everyone does it" then why has no one else been caught taking it this far? It's been a rule for over 30 years.

Abuse leads to restrictions. Someone always ends up taking shit too far and poof...new rules. I guarantee you that's what happened to get the rule put in place in 1994 (or whatever) and that's what's happened here.

The mental gymnastics of how knowing EXACTLY what the opponent is doing is of "no real advantage!" are fucking astonishing.

How did it help the Astros to know what pitch is coming? They still have to hit it. Amiright?

Take that a step farther, why don't teams just yell out the plays to the QB on the field? It's of no discernable advantage for the other team to know the play ahead of time.

I went over to XgoBlow earlier. Not joking, I couldn’t believe what I was reading.

I know when shit went down with JT there was a lot of denial here… and some pretty incredible stories suggesting justification (e.g. FBI).

I can say is that being on the outside looking in, it’s fascinating. I’m very thankful to be on this side of the window.

Or another step further: Why doesn't the quarterback just yell out the plays to his team, and let the other team hear what he yells? I mean, if it doesn't give the other team an advantage, just tell them, so you don't have to decipher the plays and risk your own team not getting it right. Tell them in plain English.
