If they have charges on his credit card, video evidence from multiple programs showing him/them electronically recording signs, porn name marine's laptop with evidence of sign stealing, and evidence of this "rogue staffer" on the sidelines next to coaches they have them dead to rights. The question remaining is does scUM try to get out in front of this and offer penalties/firings to appease the ncaa or do they ride it out. Given how quickly they served up porn name marine and have already previously suspended Simple Jim, I lean towards the former.

The question is how far does the punishment go? You gotta think wins are getting vaporized. Question is, does the NCAA want more pounds of flesh? Postseason ban(s), scholarship reductions? Given ttun is still under an ongoing investigation that saw the HC stonewalling investigators, you can't think the NCAA/B1G will go lightly on them. Their personality defective HC has probably buttfucked them six ways from Sunday.

NCAA investigation for cheating, recording, systematic cheating and sign stealing… no denial from school or conference. Allegations from multiple coaches and warning other schools.
Head basketball coach punches another coach, ejected multiple games.
Head football coach trying to leave but can’t get an NFL job.
Recruiting classes falling back to 20ish range.

They will absolutely sacrifice Harbaugh without question if they think it'll lessen a major blow. Warde isn't going to stick his head out for Harbaugh here, neither are the university higher ups.

While I don’t want to take away from any of this fun, a part of me wonders about the people who actually attended the games and collected the information that was sent back to tsun (allegedly).

What they were asked to do was not something casual. In terms of cognitive load, it would be on the level of keeping stats during a game. Certainly something that would likely require a baseline knowledge of the game… or significant coordination to align the video with the game clock so someone could correlate the sideline calls with what happened on the field. Either way, the point is, people didn’t just show up and watch the game for their enjoyment… it was work. Add to that the fact that they also likely had to travel to the game, it’s not a trivial effort when all is considered.

It makes me wonder if, they too, got paid… and where those funds came from… and how they may have received the funds and presumably reimbursement for travel and related costs.

Where I’m going with this is, if those people were paid to provide this information back to Porn Name Marine… and the workers didn’t claim it as income on their taxes… or Woody willing, the funds to pay them could be shown to trace back to the University, isn’t that technically tax evasion on the part of the workers? Moreover, it seems like it would carry some negative repercussions for the University to employ people without proper income tax paperwork being in place.

Wonder if those jobs were posted? Being a state university wouldn’t there be some law that states that those jobs would have to be posted by the University for EEOC and Title IX purposes?

Keep pulling at strings and this shit really unravels quickly.

If they try to ride this out they will be adding insult to injury. I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy Boy is given his walking papers before the end of the week.

In this example as the stooge who went and shot video, they are screwed either way.

You either got reimbursed for your work related activities (now the IRS is off your back but the schools is fucking nailed)

or

They gave you the money through some booster slush fund in which case you and your booster buddy now both have a bunch of new friends at the IRS. (and if the NCAA considers him a booster, then the school is still fucking nailed)

Come to think of it, they haven't had a good booster scandal in 30 some odd years. They are due for another.
