2023 Bowl Games Discussion

I'll watch. If tcun start to pull away, I'll watch something else.

I wonder how many times that Herbie will say "distractions" or "adversity" without ever mentioning why.
I am disappointed in 97.1, as well. They interview scUM guys like Bacon, and ESPN guys like Ian Fitzimmons about tCUN's playoff games and don't ask much or anything about the cheating scandal. If I'm the typical listener, their listeners want to hear an honest discussion about that, instead of the boring, standard crap about what each team has to do to win, etc..

I want to hear a reporter get into an in-depth discussion with JJ where JJ has to clarify that he doesn't think there is any difference between OSU allegedly figuring out their signs in-game--and what proof of that he has--and the in-person scouting they did. Then I want that reporter (Tim May, haha??) to explain to JJ (or Bacon, whatever Xichigan man) why there is a difference. Then wait for their response. That's how a journalist can be useful.

Why is an honest, civil, open discussion tilting at windmills?

In some cases (I'm looking at you, BTN), I think there were actual orders that came down not to discuss cheating. In other cases, I think these people are so wrapped up in the sport--it's literally their livelihood--that there is some psychological barrier to opening themselves up to the idea that the actual on-field, in-game product was tainted and compromised by tcun. It's a mental Rubicon that they can't cross.

It is fucking surreal isn't it? Against everything in American sports culture to blatantly cheat!

Yes I'm looking at you Baseball also.

Yep. Makes it particularly hilarious when DFBIA claims that the media "protects Ohio State" and is all out to get Michigan. The major outlets have been largely silent on all of this since like the early couple days of it.

How many dumbass trick plays does scUM have in hand for this one? They got incredibly lucky a couple of them didn't result in back breaking turnovers against Bama. That luck can't possibly continue again, right?
