2023-2024 Ohio State Men's Basketball (apathy, depression, hope?)

Definitely not low enough. I paid $15 for general admission tickets for the women’s game and it was totally worth it. Parking also free. Brought my wife, kids and some of their friends. Great WIN vs a top 10 ranked Indiana and the ladies showed heart and executed down the stretch. Honestly rare the past few years for the men in B1G play. Recent history of folding down the stretch which is maddening to pay $ and deal with and pay for parking to watch those outcomes. I would rather spend the $ watching the women play until we shake things up with the men’s team.

I come in peace so please don’t shoot the messenger.
My wife (Ohio State) alumna has always loved the Ohio State-Indiana game so was excited to watch last night. We’re new to Peacock but ordered it because there are few Illini and Buckeye games on the station so figured it would be worth it.

We returned from our daughter’s basketball game, grabbed a drink and began the game from the opening tip. At one point i made the comment that Indiana doesn’t seem to have any way of getting back into the game because they were down 9-13 the entire time.

I resist looking at my phone to see what the real-time score was. Halftime so we FF to the second half. More of the same…OSU is up 9–13 the entire time.

At the 10:24 mark the recording shuts off and is marked “concluded.” We look at each other confused and I say, “dont worry, Ohio State probably won by 13, haha.”

I looked at my phone and told my wife the final score…i’m totally confused and she stomps off to bed. I call my in-laws in Westerville to see if they watched but they don’t have Peacock. I call my sister in law in Courthouse. She said they had given up on the season and didnt even know there was a game. I tried reading some articles and only found a few short video stippets. Neither gave me a clear picture what transpired.

I know it sucks but will someone please distill the last 10 minutes for me so i can relay to my wife? I checked back in on Peacock for a replay but apparently we f’d up the recording and only have what we watched last night.

Same song and dance as most of the last month. Play decent basketball for 30 minutes, build a lead, then forget how to play the sport for the entire last 10 minutes and blow it. They're soft and rudderless.
