Give him his contract back only to watch him faceplant a 6-6 season and get blown out by Sparty and Ohio State.

And bitchslapped in a bowl game. It’s funny that his breakout season still included 2/3 of those things.

And has been pointed out by me numerous times, university admission doesn't mean jack shit to football admission. Not at TSUN, not at Ohio State, not at Notre Dame, not at Stanford.
That was basically the most on-brand tsun argument possible. If that dweeb thinks that ttun wouldn't have taken 97% of the kids on that UGA roster what whooped their smug asses, he's even more deluded than I'd think humanly possible.

You don't get to be a head coach without a fair amount of ego. Hairbaugh had to have been humiliated by 2020. I don't know if he put any feelers out, but he was probably looking at offers below HC as opposed to the offer Michigan gave him. So he doubled down and when the bet paid off he indulged in some righteous indignation. "I've got places I can go. I got offers I can look at."

As for Michigan - how do you fire a coach that beat Ohio State, won the Conference, and got you to the playoffs? And what's out there that might be better? They could restore his old salary, but retain the current buyout, or they can let him walk and figure 2022 is a wash w/wo him and now they have a bunch of money to go after someone else.

Rumor is the biggest sticking point possibly sending Simple Jim to the NFL is tsun's lack of an NIL program. But, Sam Webb says it all good on the NIL. Good old Sunshine Sam. It would appear some of the DFBIA are growing wise to his Rainbows and Lollipops act...

If Sam Webb says it’s all good then it’s fucked up beyond all recognition

They're friggin' hemorrhaging...

He was their top reserve G and a key contributor to their OL.

Seems like an awful lot of unforced attrition for a "beginning."

This kid was a bust. Hope he makes use of his scUM degree, as he was supposed to be a cornerstone of the OL when he signed. Now he'll be a massive agent at Enterprise

Or a really shitty 2LT in the Army.

Edit: I am seeing more former D1 football players join recently. In last 2 years had a former d-lineman from Tennessee and a former TE from Tulsa. Not to mention former players from WV, Mississippi State, and Kansas State. None of them played and only the WV guy graduated. Only the Tulsa guy seemed like a somewhat decent human being.

Not sure why I told that story except to say, "Visit your local recruiter today."
