Update on high schools they played the first 3 games

Hawaii lost 45-26 to New Mexico State. Who is a candidate for bottom 5 FBS team as well (they are at least in the bottom 10)

Colorado State lost 41-10 to FCS Sacramento State

and UConn lost 41-10 to NC State.

it’s more and more clear the scUM team we saw against Maryland is what they really are. I know some people are still not trying to downplay them. But they are nowhere close to last year on defense. The offense outside of Corum is largely unimpressive as well.

Fair enough.... I wasn't saying they were all that. However, if they get their act together, they can pose problems for OSU with some of the weaknesses OSU has. For example, there were some throws that Mertz threw and the WR had our DB's beat. A better QB could have put a couple on us. Either McCarthy or McNamara are better than Mertz.

Let's not totally denigrate their team. Do I feel better about OSU playing TTUN now? Absolutely!

McCarthy missed quite a few throws that shoulda been big plays against Maryland……For all his “flash” against bums the consistency against real competition is yet to be there. He’s proven to be good at TE dumpoffs I’ll give him that but he’s not some constant deep ball threat.
