Hinton was a guy they were really counting on coming back. He showed a decent amount of improvement and played well enough this year. There also was not anyone behind him doing anything to remotely threaten his position.

The Jackson State WR transfer Baldwin declared for the draft as well

Though not much of a loss, only had 17 catches for 256 yards
But he chose Michigan OVER Ohio State!

I find it entertaining that UM has the tiniest whiff of success and experiences a mass exodus for the door. It’s what other good programs regularly experience but 1) Michigan is losing players that really have no business going anywhere and obviously just want to leave and 2) their mediocre recruiting will make replacing these losses much more difficult for them.

Yep, their diamond in a squirrels ass year has gained them exactly zero momentum. Recruits arent "buzzing" anymore than usual and players/coaches are still wanting to get out of there.

Funny thing is, Harbaugh bolting would be absolutely back breaking. For all his faults. He's managed to hold the program together after the Ric Rod/Hoke fiascos enough for them to at least be average-good(not great) the chances of another Rich Rod type disaster in the aftermath of him leaving would be decently high, IMO

Never fear

The Jeter in question has been at scUM since 2017 and has complied 38 tackles/2 TFL/0 Sacks in that time.

Nothing like banking on super seniors who have never showed any signs of great ability to step in and do something.
Donovan Jeter is someone the lollipop guild has been saying would breakout for 3 or 4 years. I'm sure 2022 will be his year.
