I was wearing a 1997 Rose Bowl shirt and a BuckeyePlanet shirt today. I brought out the Buckeye necklace and had it on a chair next to me during the Domer game. After the Buckeyes were down by 14, I realized I had forgotten to put it on when the game started (not joking). I corrected that mistake and then enjoyed the rest of the game.

In-game adjustments are crucial.

The wife reminded me I didn't have my buckeye candle lit. This was 1 play before the fumbled punt.

Fellas and Ladies....

I was busy most of the day today as we had 4 inches of snow, so I didn't get a chance till now to see highlights of the Rose Bowl.

#1 - What freaking tree are you guys growing wideouts on? My Lord...Harrison Jr. had like 5 catches all year, then dude goes unconscious in the Rose Bowl?

#2 - If I hadn't seen first hand what Smith-Njigba could do, I'd have thought Coach DA had his Create-A- Player cheat on.

#3 - CJ is one hell of a QB. Hard to believe he's just a frosh....sheesus.

AND NOW....

As my wife and I were watching the highlights, she looks at me and says, "Nobody played defense in this game?" I looked at her and said, "Well, one team is SUPPOSED TO be playing D, and I'm sure the Planet is loosing their collective shit." This leads me to...

.#4 - I haven't followed Buckeye Football as long as some of you have, obviously, but having followed y'all the better part of close to 20 years now, I know the standard of Defense you all expect, and what I saw wasn't even close. If Coach Day is going to be successful, he's GOTTA get a new Defensive Coordinator, or something.

All in all, I could only imagine the peaks and valleys that were going on over here. A win is a win, yes, but it was an ugly one.

Oh yeah....

Similar thing for me. I forgot to get drunk until the 4th quarter.

I started the 3rd quarter on the basement bike and kept pedaling until the Bucks took the lead.

Unfortunately, the turnaround happened as I started working on projectors. What a dogshit tradition to start.

Well, that 2nd half was much better. It was unfortunate that their starting QB got knocked out of the game, but I'm not sure it mattered. Buckeye defense stepped up big time. It is a testament to the guys that they reached deep and found the fortitude to fight back and win the game.

Hats off to the whole team. Great win.

Yeah the drive they punted it was 2nd and 17 and the next drive they scored so I'm not sure him being there makes much of a difference other than maybe they score even faster? So we put another TD up
