I saw some folks saying this game didn't matter leading up to it. After that first half, say the Bucks go on to lose 49-35. How would that've felt heading into the offseason?

It may not have "mattered" in terms of a national title, but what this team showed in the second half matters. Resilience, and overcoming adversity, could come in handy next season. Most of the guys who played today will be on the field as Buckeyes next season, as will our head coach. It mattered.

Suspect defense in the first half, but they were hitting hard and playing hard, just needed to figure out a plan. I knew there was a chance for victory when the offense shreaded their D so easily to get back to within 7 three different times.

That was the 7th Rose Bowl I've seen the Bucks in, 8th if you count the Cotton Bowl vs USC, and the good guys have won the last 4 (5).
