Absolutely. It started with MoC and Mike Williams back in 2003-04. The groundswell gained enough inertia that the dam just burst and everything is happening so fast that it's just overwhelming.

Yep. CFB is now just another low key pro league now. There's no point getting excited about a big recruit committing, because if he doesn't play as a freshman, chances are he's shopping for a new team in December.
Difference is they're not even beholden to contracts. You want to demand a trade in the NFL? Good luck sitting out and losing paychecks, hoping another GM will take you on. Don't start as a freshman? Take your pick of programs and play tomorrow with your immediately eligible transfer.
