I won't trash Olave or Wilson or any of those guys. I guess what I'm saying is, if I had the ability to go out with my final game being a win in the Rose Bowl, I'm damn well taking it because battling with the guys who were beside me all year is what is most important to me.

Monetary, yes...but that drives other decisions. 5 years ago, opt outs were unheard of. Now, unless you're one of the four teams in the playoff, there is no real benefit to playing because you risk losing millions. It's always been that way, but the way things are changing, loyalty and pride are taking a backseat to getting to the NFL. I don't blame the kids a bit, it's their future on the line; but as a fan, it sucks.

And it's not just that. It's the entire landscape of CFB changing. OU and Tejas essentially killed the Big 12 to go join the SEC leaving all of those other programs burnt to the ground.

I'm not naive. I know CFB has always been a business, but now it's right out in the open and it's unbecoming to me.
