holy shit…. Moroccan guy got two yellows in a matter of minutes….. the second yellow was WEAK… 10 men for another 5+ minutes

i think the problem there was, the first yellow had just happened, which was a blow to the head and I think ref felt like he let him off easy, told the dude to chill his shit out and immediately had what he saw as cleats to the shin. -- In a vacuum it was weak, yeah...

On a sort of unrelated note, FIFA does tend to use world cups as a showcase about what trends they'd like to see in how the game is officiated. Obviously the big emphasis here is how to handle extra time (and I think its good). One of the things that's been building IMO, though I don't know that I've seen an example outside this one is, there shouldn't be a higher bar to reach on a second yellow. Though it does strike me that I have more yellows for persistent infringement, which usually were these middle 3rd yellows where it was a foul to stop the flow of play, and if they had been warned about that then he's getting that second one.

yeah it was a totality card but I have a tough time believing if the situation was reversed…. that 2nd yellow happens…
