They beat defending champion France and got a draw with 10th ranked Denmark, and they’re done. It was weird to see the fans’ reactions when VAR wiped out Griezmann’s goal in the 8th extra minute. They were like, great so we’ll win this game but the Aussies are already through, so we can’t really be thrilled about it.

Well who would have thought he tie against Denmark was going to be the kill shot. Seemed like a good result at the time. (other side of that is, France was largely in DGAF mode)

A guy came into my office trying to figure out why I was yelling -- how do you explain that an offsides flag wiping away a Mexico goal in a 2-0 match is THAT important. That was match was a fucking blast!

Add to that Szczęsny having a Tim Howard-like performance despite losing 2-0. Had something like 13 or 14 saves including a penalty save. Wild day.
