The Rutgers”gift” balances that out.If Ohio State barely misses the tournament you can thank the refs for blowing the Minnesota call at the end. Sure sure they could played better and should won anyway but this is a game of wins and losses and it does not matter if you win in OT or by 30 a win is a win and at the end of the day I felt very confident that Ohio State would won that game in OT and was robbed of that chance that may end up costing a NCAA berth.
Also tough losses to Purdue and North Carolina 3 games that could have easily been wins and maybe should been wins especially North Carolina.
I'm praying it's not what it looked likeThe five-game losing streak began when Zed got hurt and missed a couple games. Finally get a win and Zed hurts his knee in the final 30 seconds.

And even with all that if the Bucks hit a reasonable percentage of their free throws (some of which were the front end of 1 and 1) we have a 1 score game. Didn't play well and still should have been in it until the final seconds. They have potential, but they need to turn their potential into production like they were earlier in the year.Last night's game vs Illini went as scripted - by Illinois. They've always been long, and some of the pics showed our guys going up against two Illini defenders that absolutely towered over our guy. Conversely, on D, all Illinois had to do was isolate down low, and voila, easy bucket. Plus, tOSU D tried to help out on these mismatches, but the Illini guards simply picked us clean with crisp passes that led to uncontested layups. Can't recall how many tOSU shots were lofted due to a 6'11" defender extending their arms toward the stars. Haven't seen the stats yet, but am betting it was at least a 2-1 in favor of Illinois. Jed was hobbled, not up to par, and Sueing didn't seem to be available, but coach didn't play Okpara alongside Key to combat their height. tOSU got some good looks inside the arc, mainly because Illinois was guarding the three point line very tight, leading to the above abnormally high lofted 'runners'. Offensively, our gunners were missing. Who knows why, that's part of the game. No one was able to take up the slack when the two guys providing the points went cold. Go Bucks!
