Imagine being an alum and rooting for these cunty fuckbats all for the sake of conference pride…they’re morphing back into 90s pretentiousness before our very eyes and my hate for them is at an all time high.

scUM is trying to be the most hated team in CFB. I'm cool with that.

That they would go from zero to insufferable douchebags with the least little bit of success is the least surprising thing in college football. And it's this preening sense of superiority and entitlement that will lead to their quick downfall. DC's will figure out how to scheme and play call against Simple Jim's 1960 offense, and we'll see how well their defense plays when they're on the field for forty minutes every game.

Simple Jim's triumph of finding his baseball will quickly turn into this.

Hutchinson and Ojabo are both gone. That's 25 of the 34 sacks scUM had. Virtually all of their pass rush came from those 2 guys. Good luck replicating that.

Let's see how effective that secondary is (not to mention Dax Hill has a high chance of declaring for the draft as well) without those 2 constantly in opposing QBs faces.

They'll just reload with those amazing New England recruits coming in.

Just sayin': scUM/Harbaugh has been having some decent recruiting classes; it's just that up to this year Harbaugh hasn't been able to do anything with them:

According to 24/7 Sports.....

2021: #13 (Ohio State had #2)
2020: #10 (Ohio State had #5)
2019: #8 w/26 recruits (Ohio State had #14 w/17 recruits)
2018: #22 (Ohio State had #2)
2017: #5 (Ohio State had #2)
2016: #8 (Ohio State had #4)
2015: #37 (Ohio State had #7)

The same ratings that ScriptOhio posted above, only rated by average points (per 24/7):

2021: Ohio State 94.98, Michigan 89.99
2020: Ohio State 91.79, Michigan 90.59
2019: Ohio State 91.87, Michigan 90.78 (we had a higher average rating despite having nine less recruits)
2018: Ohio State 94.29, Michigan 88.75 (we had the highest per recruit rating of all schools)
2017: Ohio State 94.59, Michigan 91.20 (we had the highest per recruit rating of all schools)
2016: Ohio State 91.56, Michigan 89.86
2015: Ohio State 90.31, Michigan 87.81

Seven-year average:

Ohio State 92.77, Michigan 89.85

Simple Jim's MO has always been to catch lightening in a bottle for a year or two (often with a gimmick), but he inevitably falls on his face and can't sustain it. He lucked into Andrew Luck at Stanford and then bolted for the NFL before he actually had to build a program. He lucked into Kaepernick and the pistol before NFL defenses were ready for it and rode that for all of 2 years before it began to crumble, and he bolted for tsun.

Now he installed his gimmick old school offense, found 2 top 10 pick edge rushers and it all came together in the year that Ohio State's defensive decline came to a head. Those DL are gone and Ryan Day just hit a home run hire as DC.

There is nothing in Simple Jim's history that says this success is anything but a transitory aberration before Simple Jim loses his baseball again.
