Michigan football has more talent than Iowa, Penn State, MSU, and Wisconsin. Much more talent actually. Michigan has had the second-best Big Ten recruiting class year in and year out for the last 6+ seasons. It doesn’t make sense why inferior opponents like Penn State, Iowa, and MSU were all able to beat OSU.

I truly believe the only thing standing in the way of Michigan beating Ohio State is the quarterback situation.

Yep, that's the only thing.

Yep, that's the only thing.

Welp, I can appreciate the point. First half of the 90s, Ohio State didn't have the talent level of Michigan. Second half of the decade, Ohio State had talent even with Michigan or better, except at QB. 2006, 41-42 game, 2016, and a couple of other games, Michigan has had talent CLOSE to equivalent to Ohio State, but Smith outplayed Henne, Brax outplayed Shoelace, JT and Cardale outplayed Gardner and Robinson, and then the roof caved in when Haskins and Fields took over. I'd compare Rudock and Patterson to Hoying and Germaine; competent, but Griese outplayed both in The Game.

And I don’t think the 2022 recruiting cycle is going to close that gap for them.
