Apparently you missed the fact that the talent gap is shrinking. Suggest you go to a smaller font to represent this more clearly.Seems like a good place to post this (2021 talent gap)

Some gems....Well fellas, looks like I'm gonna head to the ER. This has definitely been more than 4 hours, it's actually going on 25. And now there is another thread on MGoBlow full of comedy gold and Vulvarine tears. I don't think I can take much more of this at my age.

The "Ohio State recruits too well" bullshit has to stop. There are coaches who would CRAWL over miles of broken glass to have as much talent as Michigan does on its roster. Michigan has enough talent to beat Ohio State.
Ezekiels Creatures
I like your comparison to Auburn vs Alabama. Yes, there is hope, if Michigan treats The Game like Auburn treats the Iron Bowl. It's David vs Goliath, not Goliath vs Goliath.
UM Indy
The only way is for their QB to have a nightmare game against us. Throw 4 or 5 interceptions, maybe we get a special teams turnover as well, and we would have to cash in on all of them. Even with all that, I’m not sure we win. That’s how bad this is. They could probably withstand 5 or 6 turnovers and still beat us.
UNCWolverine
we'll never beat them again my lifetime, said that for years. And even if we do that will mean they're way down, so we probably won't be national contenders regardless.
The Deer Hunter
Like remembering what it was like to be the Big 2 and Little 8 conference, only NOW we know what it's like to be part of that little 8.
MichCali
This is dumb. It's like the Patriots getting the top 5 draft picks every year. College football just sucks.
What DFBIA doesn't get - Michigan is probably the 4th best program in the Big Ten EAST right now, behind Ohio State, Penn State, and Indiana, with Michigan State, Rutgers, and Maryland really improving themselves recently. Michigan will struggle to go 8-4 most years; making the playoffs is a pipe dream.Durham Blue
Focus on getting into the expanded playoff field. Beating OSU would be the sweetest icing on the cake for sure, but if we get to the playoff as B1G #2 then at least we have a shot at the ultimate prize and another thing of value to sell to recruits. The issue will be to consistently beat the rest of the B1G and locking down 2nd place and earning the invitation to the playoff. Do the latter and we can reap rewards with better recruiting.
Some gems....
No, they don't

30 of the top 34 rated players are Buckeyes. Shhhhhh, nobody tell Steve Deace. They do tie us, 8-8, for the 35-50 segment; so they have that going for them, which is nice.Seems like a good place to post this (2021 talent gap)

If JT is marked short, Game Over. Michigan wins, makes the Big Ten Title game, and most likely the CFP. You don’t think anything with the program improves because of it? I imagine there’s still a gap between the two schools, but I don’t think it’s as big as it is if Harbaugh starts 1-1 with a Big Ten title and CFP appearance in year two.

Well, it certainly doesn't suck if you are Clemson or Alabama. It doesn't suck that much if you are Ohio State either, until you run into Clemson or Alabama in January, when being flayed slowly with a spork seems merely inconvenient compared to what you are about to face.
