3* DT 100% Crystal Balled to scUM commits to....

Tennessee. :slappy:

DFBIA?

Title says it all. The Wolverines lose one of their top DT prospects to the dumpster fire of Tennessee after having 100% crystal balls to Michigan a week ago. DT CROOTIN IS FUN SIR.
Nua killing it as usual
This is just delicious...
The next DL coach should come from Ohio... need to get back in.
Yeah why get upset losing a kid with Georgia, Florida and Miami offers at the biggest position of need who was 100% predicted to go to Michigan all good brother yeah Go Blue!
I know we're supposed to be outraged whenever a 3* commits, but are we also supposed be outraged if a 3* doesn't commit?

Is it like Schrodinger's outrage?
Predictable:
NIL leveling the playing field is an illusion. All the same schools that are more aggressive under the prior rules are going to be more aggressive under NIL. Michigan will be conservative and stay directly within the margins of the rules while many other schools will exploit every nuance and grey area possible, or just flat out break the rules. So, basically not much will change as far as Michigan's ability to attract recruits. Get used to it.
I haven't seen, yet, why he turned so cold to Michigan so quickly.

Anyone know?
Because your program's an even bigger dumpster fire than Tennessee?
Trust the coaches, they always have a back up plan in their recruiting strategies. In this case the plan is some Covid excuse unranked kid with all the FCS and most of the MAC offers.
I always have and always will be confused what recruits see in Tennessee
Everybody else in the country says the same about you, dumb-dumb.
Knoxville is nice, the surrounding area is pretty, there's a huge fan base that still hangs on chasing 90's glory(sound familiar?) Huge stadium and good gameday atmosphere. SEC competition.

Yeah, you're right, it doesn't make sense why any recruit would go there.
It goes on from there for a while.

Just got around to actually reading this thread. Do they think the schools will be paying players directly with NIL?

There aren't a lot of programs out there that would want to get into a bidding war with Michigan, and I do think that will count for something.
I don't think Michigan is going to get into bidding wars. It's a cultural thing. Michigan will hold its nose and play along with NIL, but by no means do I think the university will be a market leader in this new era.
could definitely see the shot callers at Michigan thinking they are above bidding wars for prospect commitments. "We're Michigan, we're so special that we can offer you something even better than money and indorsements.. The Michigan experience"..

The reality though, of course, is that they're not; no one is.

I'm holding out some glimmer of hope that they'll start to understand not everyone is as enamored with Michigan as they assume they are, but that's only because we don't know yet how Michigan is going to utilize NIL. It would be typical of Michigan to continue playing nickel slots with a wheel barrel full of nickels when the high stakes tables just opened at the casino.

This is just funny, so I'll give him some credit for that:
I haven't seen, yet, why he turned so cold to Michigan so quickly.

DUMBEST fanbase in America

This

But one thing that I am really enjoying from the NIL stuff is that they somehow still think it's bad that the kids receive compensation.

People who pride themselves on being morally superior to everyone else can't seem to come to grips with a movement that, essentially, frees these young adults from indentured servitude as being the right thing to do. It's kind of like their stance on online classes. So out of touch with current reality as to be laughable, which, is pretty much on brand for them anyway so I guess just go back to the macro point of D= dumbest.

DFBIA now claiming that the "depth chart is crowded" at DT is pretty funny. Considering they've spent the whole offseason drooling at the possibility of any transfer DT who they might have had a shot at.

Crowded in the sense of a line at the DMV, which, is probably equally full of guys who can play well at the highest levels of D1 football.
