Michigan occasionally beats Ohio State for a recruit. Donovan Peoples-Jones is the best example over the past five years, but Ohio State also pursued (however tepidly) a few other Michigan signees (Oliver Martin; Daxton Hill; Nolan Rumler; Braiden McGregor; Blake Corum) during that time.
I wonder if you asked DPJ, if he'd ever admit how big of a mistake that was.

Michigan's problem isn't that they can't beat Ohio State in head-to-head recruiting battles, it's that they don't even try to do so. Michigan seems intent on recruiting kids who are nowhere near Ohio State's radar, a "strategy" that obviously hasn't worked for them. You can't beat Ohio State with a team full of players who weren't good enough to go to Ohio State.

Big time results at scUM for all of those players

I love the blog and obviously never comment but I’ve been reading and watching for many many years. I have to say that one factor in recruiting the nation is AA super liberal policy, you just can’t breathe in this town if you have a different thought or view. Most talent comes from AA south with center right thinking. Political Ideology is a factor

Yeah, and DickRod had a button. And Brady cHoke wouldn't say "State."

Anyone wants some piping hot schadenfreude to go with their morning coffee should head over to MGo and hit the Kaleb Brown thread.

They have gone full frontal whiny bitch.

Gene Smith has a deal with the NCAA to keep us out of trouble
Darn it, he guessed it

They are as convinced that a 12 team playoff will fix recruiting inequality as they were that 5 stars would be lining up to play for Harbaugh.

https://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/12-team-college-football-playoff

It's not that they don't win enough to make any damn playoff format, it's not the lack of NFL development (above the 7th round), it's not things like atmosphere, real life Wednesday's or NIL...it's just being able to tell the kids "you can make the playoffs just like OSU and Bama do.."

They think kids are as dumb as they are
