Excuses. They could say wish they had their starting DB and WR, and I believe they were missing an OL as well...
Sour grapes, we got our asses handed to us

Give me a break. Our OL was banged up too but I didn't bring that up. It's not sour grapes to think our stud QB and RB plus our 2 key DL would've made a big difference in that game. How could you have watched Sermon and Teague with your own eyes and come to the conclusion that it wasn't a massive drop-off that made our O one-dimensional? Fyi, I didn't say we'd win. I said that we wouldn't get demolished. I don't think that's outlandish.

Why, what? Do I think if both teams were at full strength, that OSU would get demolished? Did you not watch the NC? We had healthy starting DBs(Brown doesn't count because we didn't have him all year), and look what happened? Was Togiai or Smith going to guard Devante Smith? He played for 3 freaking quarters! We got our asses WHOOPED! It happened, but there is no what if, when you get your doors blown off. If the game was within 1-2tds, then I could agree with you, but OSU got molly-whopped, and 2 DL weren't going to make up those points.

And you're acting like Sermon was going to treat Bama like he did Clemson. Bama was that much better than the teams in the country. Just look at the NFL draft last week, they had a guy drafted who was injured all year in the 1st round! You are definitely wearing your scarlet glasses. I'm sure you probably think that OSU would've been close in the NC against Florida if only Ginn were healthy

Actually....I kinda do. Without Ginn to take the top off of the defense, they were triple teaming Gonzo, which allowed their pass rush to get to Troy a lot more.

Do they win? Maybe, maybe not. Is it a total blowout? Doubtful.

Man, Troy wouldn't be able to get the ball out that game if Jesus was our WR! Our OL had no answers for their DEs, and Ginn wasn't going to block. And then throw in the cocky attitude that OSU had going into the game(it's been chronicled by numerous players that they took UF VERY lightly), and you have an OSU team that would've been beat regardless of having Ginn there or not.

I think we could have beat that team a couple times in 10 meetings. This Alabama team, not so much.

You remember a different game than I do. I remember Troy having time, especially in the 2nd quarter, but Gonzo was triple covered more than once and Troy had no one else to throw too. Ginn makes a difference for sure. Maybe not THE difference, but certainly a difference.

It didn't help that the Bucks walked away from the running game too early. What amazed me was that Florida's QB got hot that night. He'd been mediocre all season.
