Underrated threat this year imo
Been discussing them in the weekly game threads quite a bit. Thorne is the best QB they've had in a while and Walker is a flat out stud. The WR that's been coming along for them only makes things worse. Tucker will smash Hairballs out of existence as much as Day will. They'll likely be the pain in our ass they've been through Urbs and Tressel with off years. They worry me more than ttun does for sure.

Really starting to come together. They have multiple big-play threats, but Stroud is precise and can pick apart a defense sitting back preventing those big plays.

Other than doing it against a top defense, the biggest question is how does Stroud react to pressure when teams start blitzing or winning 1-on-1 matches against the OL. Luckily I don't think the later will happen often. He's gotten better about moving in the pocket and standing tall even if he gets hit. Needs to step up more often at times and not throw too early but that'll come with experience.

Really glad to see Henderson get passes out of the backfield. When they start playing better defenses they'll need those hot throws and it's just a great way to get big play on an easy throw.

The last 6 games feature 5 defenses that are, statistically a lot better than the first six.

Team national ranks for Opponents Point Per Play:

Indiana #96
Penn State #2
Corn #19
Purdue #15
MSU #8
tsun #9
Iowa #5 (possible B1G CCG opponent)

For a point of reference
OSU #18

Oregon #35
Minny #36
Rutgers #69
Maryland #99
Tulsa #102
Akron #126

So, everybody but IU is in the top 20 and the OSU offense hasn't faced anyone higher than 35 yet. I think those teams numbers will go down once they have to play OSU but it's worth noting that the defensive opponents are going to be a lot better from here on out.

See how they jump from week before us and week after. Something tells me It's quite the leap

No doubt we can also ask though who those teams have played to give them those stats tho? None of those teams faced a competent offense from what I can tell. Miami, Iowa State and Auburn I'd imagine are the big ones?

It’s all kind of baked into the numbers at this point. I don’t consider football stats to be overly insightful and they damn sure aren’t predictive.

they are just data points to consider.
