Reading 11 warriors interview ... Ryan Day talking about how unfortunate it is that the offense did not run many plays.

Agreed, it sucks to be explosive. LOL. Bad for ball control. Bad for evaluating players. Bad for giving reps to those who deserve it. Bad, bad, bad.

But can you believe the defense has the gall to try rotating fresh players in? Back in my day I was playing 70 snaps both ways uphill in the snow. We oughta fire that dang coach Coombs and bring me in.

And the Bucks still won by 14 and covered. As the season goes along the fact the defense was on the field almost 40 minutes and a lot of guys got reps will pay dividends.

Few things on offense...

1. I thought Day called plays desperate all game. Should've kicked the field goal on the first drive and could've on other drives as well. Threw on 1st down a ton which left us behind if we didn't get yards.

2. Abandoned the run way too early. With how much success we had through the air I have to think we could've found more success. After all we did average much better in the 2nd half.

3. Where's our WR depth? I love Wilson/Olave/JSN but the other three can play. My worry is this will impact kids to potentially transfer and hit our recruiting. We sell depth to kids but we aren't playing depth.

We failed to capitalize a few times and became predictable but otherwise how do we complain about a 600yard performance.

Game looked so much like Purdue 2018. Haskins throwing constantly and our star RB is nothing more than a decoy. Williams runs too hard to be shelved early. He and Henderson seem like they're one play away from breaking a big run

And I've been wondering where the WR depth is too. I saw Fleming in the huddle and almost forgot he was on the team still. And does Stroud not see Ruckert on the field, I've seen numerous mismatches where he's open and then just ignored.

Offense wasn’t perfect by any means but Day easily called a decent enough game to win by 2 or 3 TDs. A lot of dropped passes, untimely penalties (Stroud scramble that was called back), and uncalled penalties (two blatant PI) resulted in an offense that probably wasn’t as productive as it should have been. Abandoning the run game too early was probably a mistake but the o-line wasn’t getting a consistent push and defense was a sieve. It wasn’t like Northwestern where you questioned whether Day was high on COVID meds.
