Not CFP but Kenny Pickett and Pitt get MSU’s terrible secondary. He’s gonna throw for 500.

Great fan base. They took over Wrigley Field the night before their game in South Bend. I think the north siders thought the Mason Dixon line was like the Berlin Wall and would keep this element out of their neighborhood. LOL! It was glorious!Say what you want about Georgia fans (actually no need to because I'm sure it wouldn't be anything nice).
Tell you what, you root for who you want and I’ll root for who I want. Right now I don’t see Michigan getting rolled by Georgia or Bama as helpful to the Buckeyes. If you "root" for scUM, you are wrong. Period. Doesn't matter if it's against ND, Bama, or the taliban.
How exactly does any result in any of those games “help” (or hurt, for that matter) the Buckeyes?Tell you what, you root for who you want and I’ll root for who I want. Right now I don’t see Michigan getting rolled by Georgia or Bama as helpful to the Buckeyes.

8 is perfect. A bye based on espin commentators opinion is shit. They would vote for Utah.
I agree with the point though that opening it up to 12 actually INCREASES the odds that the most deserving team does not end up winning the whole thing. It's why I think the sweet spot is 6 with a home game for the first round (keeping as much value as possible on the regular season). Stakes of the OSU/Michigan game would never be lessened (i.e. if OSU would still make the playoffs regardless of The Game's outcome) like some of the expansion scenarios would lead to.
The only way to make this "playoff" remotely fair is to only have conference champs in it. Done deal. You don't win your conference? You're out.
You can't be the best team in the nation if you aren't the best in your conference. End of story.Auto-bids for conference champs instantly put all the emphasis on the CCG and threaten rivalry games. I want no part of anything that diminishes the rivalry games and regular season any more than it already has.
Oh, we remember. Those were the days when I often heard "A Big Ten schedule doesn't prepare you for the SEC". After that Utah/Bammer game some internet wag produced a "An SEC schedule doesn't prepare you for Utah"I hope Day shows the 2009 Sugar Bowl to the team. Bama was undefeated save for Tebow and Urbs beating them in the closer-than-the-score-showed SECCG.
Utes beat Nick 31-17. If you show up cocky or unenthused against a motivated Utah, bad things can happen.
How many wild card winners in the Super Bowl/World Series are we up to now?You can't be the best team in the nation if you aren't the best in your conference. End of story.
Let's go through the posts for this past season and see how many times someone on here posts about how (insert any Power 5 team) doesn't play anybody 'cause the (insert any conference) is shit. Let's look at how much bitching is done because the SEC gets two teams in the playoffs, or how the polls always favor (insert SEC team here) because a loss is a win. You want the Buckeyes to get the loss is a win boost? Let's see a Big Ten win the CFP more than once in 7 years. Conference does matter. Just ask all the teams that left the Big 12.How exactly does any result in any of those games “help” (or hurt, for that matter) the Buckeyes?
