2021-2022 Ohio State Men's Basketball

2/24 - @Illini
2/27 - @Maryland
3/1 - Corn
3/3 - Sparty
3/6 - TTUN

At least the last 3 are at home, but we're gonna need our depth. Still have to fit Iowa in somewhere.

Once there was a saying that if a B10 team can hold serve at home 80% of the time, and go 50% on the road, they'd handily win the B10. Not saying that tOSU will do that, but if they do, they've got a punchers chance. Go Bucks!

The team seems like they've got a fatigue problem, which is tough given the busy schedule currently ongoing. Still hoping to get someone back to help.

The last two games had similarities. Fortunately, the Bucks were able to avoid losing one of them.

Poor shooting, especially in the second half. Going 10+ minutes with one made FG in the second half of both games.
Opponents gobbling up offensive rebounds, especially in the second half. Allowing 15+ offensive rebounds is a lot of second chances.

Those both suggest tired legs. Shots coming up short, being half a step slower getting to loose balls. Also, a high number of fouls on the defensive end. Yeah I know, "the refs", but we've dealt with B1G refs most of the season - including our impressive wins - so that's nothing new. But when you aren't moving as quickly with your legs on defense, what happens? You reach, you grab, and you're not quite in position. The result? You tend to foul more.

Not sure there's a solution other than lighter practices, but I don't know the practice schedule in the first place. The coaches need to figure it out and hopefully our boys will get a second wind soon. It won't get any easier at Illinois.

I don't know what Coach and the boys did the last couple days, but it worked. Bucks needed a strong second half tonight and they got it, despite two Illini having the games of their lives. It got a little scary late, but a road win at Illinois is nothing but positive.

When we Lidell missed the foul shot to make it only up 2 I was waiting for plumber to make a shot and us have to go win the game

Should be favored to win every game, but Sparty will likely be desperate for a win at that point. Ohio State is better than all of the remaining teams but they need to play like it.

Finishing the season on a winning streak would be nice for a change.
