2021-2022 Bowl Game Discussion

One crucial question: Is there some sort of round-robin selection order? I mean, do they give Bowls a rotating preference of who they select?

Per Wiki (yes, I know):

"Generally, a team must have at least six wins to be considered bowl eligible, with at least five of those wins being against FBS opponents. The College Football Playoff semi-final games are determined based on the top four seeds in the playoff committee's final rankings. The remainder of the bowl eligible teams are selected by each respective bowl based on conference tie-ins, order of selection, match-up considerations, and other factors."

Rose Bowl vs. Oregon/Utah if scUM wins is almost a certainty.

If scUM loses, then it could get interesting. Sugar Bowl is generally Big 12 vs SEC, but is there a chance they could switch that up for a Alabama vs Ohio State matchup somehwere.

Could we play Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl or Peach Bowl? Maybe we play Ole Miss in one of those bowls.

Personally, I'd love to play in the Rose Bowl. It's special. I think either matchup would be tough for the defense though, but it's a chance to figure it out.

People mentioned players sitting for bowl games, my question is, if NIL contracts are in place, would it be a breach of contract to sit out?
Interesting point. As I see us being without A LOT of key players in the bowl game of NIL isn't counted. Without exactly naming names, I expect us to be down 2 WRs, TE, 1OL, just on offense. I could care less who sits on defense because at this point, most of their backups I'd rather seee anyway.
