They truly believe this, even though they lost basically their whole OL, sure "upgrade". McCafferey and Milton could never get close to surpassing a mediocre Patterson yet the QB situation is upgraded as well.

In this day and age, QB's are coming in at such a polished level that top tier talent will quickly assert itself (see Barbie at Clemson). It won't linger around the program for a couple of years and then appear. Burrow was the exception to the rule, and the M&M boys are not Burrow.

More importantly, maybe, they won't have Joe Brady implementing their offense. Coaching is the biggest issue up there and has been for a decade and a half.
