They’re really going at it in that thread. Interestingly most of the mindset is opposite of the author on his deserving a shot. Hell they are even going at over the use of the word deserves.

It's a kid they recruited from DeSales. From what I've read, he's probably marginally a better baseball player but he's going to be playing football at scUM....

It's part of the Spring NC mentality, imo.
They have to bag on Shea now... keep the belief alive that next guy will lift them up.
If you clock their posts back 1 and 2 years, same people probably saying Shea is a Heisman candidate.
"Honorable Mention" for Media All-B1G is just reporters saving face after their bad takes in preseason.
Can't recall ever seeing someone brag about being 3rd team or Honorable Mention in All-Conference selections? This is some Forcier Family level stuff...
Surprised they didn't add "Technically Co-Division Champs".
