2020 Team Discussion Thread

Numbers will continue getting worse. There won't be a college football season this year.

So far we're still under 1% of the population having contracted it but you'd never know from the reaction.

Let's cancel everything, close everything, shut it all down. Nothing could possibly be worse than this virus, right?

I’m not sure if it has been discussed, but if there is no season would Seniors go on to the NFL or could they stay to improve their draft stock?

This is probably a detail that is being discussed and, to speculate wildly, I can see them allowing players to stay and improve their draft stock, including allowing players to compete in the spring and then enter the supplemental draft. I can also see how this might benefit teams with a lot of 5th year, marginal players. I don't see a lot of Buckeyes taking advantage of that exception, certainly not the biggest contributors.

I didn't say that I liked or even begrudgingly agree, but it's not going to happen this year.

We are looking at the possibility of football being on a knife edge where most things would have to go almost perfect for a conference only season to happen= any football at all. What are the odds nothing goes sideways? How much would the BIG tolerate? I was more hopeful till this last Covid spike but now it's depressing and frustrating to see what's going on.
