I liked 18 game conf schedule a lot more than this 20 game schedule. In a covid year I guess its fine not as many out of conf games but in a normal year prefer 18 games.

OSU just capped off a 6-2 January with a fairly high level of competition throughout. Pretty darn good month, especially considering OSU's struggles in January in general dating back to 2014.

Ohio State up to 10th in kenpom and 5th in adj offensive efficiency which is shockingly amazing to be that high but the defense needs some work only 61st in adj defensive efficiency.

I've said it before: this team appears to be guys who genuinely like one another. Makes for a fun team to watch.

In 2018, Holt's first year, OSU had an even better January record-wise than this one. They went 8-1. However, only 3 of the 8 wins were over top-70 teams in kenpom rating. Five of the wins the Buckeyes got this year are currently in the top-70.

Holt is getting a lot of guys minutes. Towns is getting stronger and able to move slightly better on D. Meechie may have a role the next month or 2. And Duane hasn’t even been shooting well.

I don’t think they can compete with the top line teams (Gonzaga, Baylor) but they have a lot of good basketball ahead if things progress.

Probably some stinkers in there too because welcome to college athletics, but the Bucks are really growing and I’m happy with that.
