2020-2021 College Basketball Discussion (Official Thread)

Damn did the checks bounce for Cal’s latest crop of recruits or something?
No, they're just a bunch of kids right now. Not very polished ones, at that. They bring back basically nothing from last season's team, so they are being built from scratch. They could actually be dangerous by the end of the season. They have a higher ceiling than most teams.

Well, thanks, Purdue for keeping it from being a clean slate tonight. Losers.

I was thinking the same thing. Now, teams lose games, but when it comes to big non-con games Purdue does this **** a lot and it gets on my nerves because you know they still are gonna be tough in conference play.

Conversely, OSU has been a source of quality wins for the rest of the conference in January. Really hoping we can break out of that pattern of stringing losses together in that month.

Someone on their Rivals board pointed out that they were the lone sore spot for the B1G last night and several of the other posters were just like, "Who cares? We'll get ours in conference play."

So annoying!

The B1G-ACC challenge for me is the Ryder Cup of basketball. A combination of athletes who normal compete with one another playing on the same team. I follow every game and even pull for Xichigan (I can't watch them and root for them but I hope they win if we need it).

"Who Cares" is a despicable attitude.

But this year is special not only because of our dominance (we beat 3 ranked ACC teams by a combined 48 points) but the fact that Xichigan isn't a participant.

MD is pretty underwhelming. They looked so out of sorts tonight. I think they might actually have a little more grit and chemistry than some of Turgeon's teams but they still aren't well-coached and they don't have as high a talent level as his teams usually do.
