Gotta love that the bball Bucks are ranked #2. Can't say I've seen an tOSU team with as much grit and ability to answer than this one. Impressed that with their best player on the pine, they held on to a 5 point lead for 3:30 and actually increased the lead to 6. Kudos to the coaches and the players. Fun to watch the freshmen come out and participate. Looks like we've got a bunch of leaders in the huddle, hope that doesn't get in the way down the road. Liddell is a much better 5 than Young, I like Kyle at the 4 all day. HIs follow ups, backdoors, rebounding is a perfect 4 position, and he does it so well. The mix of offense and defense roles on the team stands out. Hope there's enough in the tank to get us to March, as the D is always intense, so makes for weary legs. Watching every game I can. PS, it's great to have football and basketball ranked so highly, the TV folk put them on the tube for every game.

Keep bringing along the other guys, methinks tOSU will need more than eight players as the shank of the season (B10 league games) approach. Go Bucks!

naturally, jon wilner has osu at #6, which is the second-lowest spot (vols writer has osu at #9). don't have a huge issue with wilner's ranking of osu, though. as stated recently, think you can group about 8 teams together at the top. looking at osu, zags, duke, kansas, louisville, baylor, and oregon. might even put sdsu up there. auburn is undefeated, but their schedule has been ass and will continue to be ass. regardless, still think osu has a rightful claim to at least a top 4 ranking due to average margin of victory and advanced metrics. it's just december, though, so there is no reason to throw tantrums over a few spots.

agreed. less concerned about depth in meaningful games and more concerned about filling in for a player due to *knock on wood* injury. less concerned about depth because there is virtually no dropoff once ho1tmann goes to the bench. we pretty much have 8 starters.

would like to see gaffney and ahrens get more run, though that won't be so easy during conference play. january and february downsides to the march upside. izzo does this. takes the pain early while developing for march. think gaffney will give the greater payout compared to ahrens. just not seeing it from justin, but perhaps we'll see another breakout like last year. think jallow is all but a guaranteed redshirt.

Agreed with Gaffney, kid is a talent waiting to happen. Ahrens, dunno about. He's a liability on D, and pretty much one dimensional on O. He's a good spot up shooter, and when he's hot, he's incandescent. When he's not, well.....I especially like the play of the two PGs. Seem to be interchangeable, and I see Carton tightening his grib on the PG, with CJ (?) sliding over to the two, when Washington is getting a blow. Need Muhammad in their to throttle their best shooter, and gotta love the underneath rotation of KWesson, AWesson, Young and Liddell.

Guards take teams to the Final Four, and the bigs win the games. Believe tOSU has the right chips in the game. Oh yeah, think this Holtzmann guy might work out! Go Bucks!

:huh: what position is the PB or am I the one that is confused also I think you mean CJ as in CJ Walker. I do not think that he will slide over to 2 position when Luther is taking a break. If CJ and Carton are on the floor together CJ will always be running the point.
